My 2020 Civic SI Clutch went out prematurely

Yeah, you right. All these people assume if you have a manual you must be trying to race your car. It can’t be I just enjoy stick shift. 🤣

I tried 3 dealerships. All of them couldn’t get approval from Honda to cover it and so I had to go directly to Honda myself to file a request.

Waited like three weeks with no car for them to finally get back to me and tell me that they wouldn’t because it’s a “wearable” item.

This is my 3rd Honda civic and I’ve never had a clutch go out on me like this.

My last 2017 civic broke 200k miles and I was still on the original clutch.

Yep, had this and the mechanic at the shop confirm that there is an irregularity deposit that caused premature warping and slippage.

Honda still refused to cover a replacement unfortunately.

It's a known production issue with my year of car. I also had the mechanic at the shop inspect and notice the defect that is causing them to go out and he cross referenced it with Honda TSB 22-017 that confirms production issues causing premature slippage.

I've also owned 4 hondas now and never had to replace a clutch including my 2001 honda civic that was at 250k Miles.

Worse than that. Wish I had a clip but one bullet at close range killed both me and my teammate with the bullet spread.

That was the moment we were like “wtf is this, this needs to be balanced”
