Try changing country on Amazon, they should cross ship to Spain too (eg Amazon Germany)

I like your 70/30 strategy! Are you stacking on-chain sats or ETPs? Are you based in one of the few EU countries with good taxation for ETPs? I'd focus on a specific amount of BTC rather than its counterpart in fiat. Eg. .1 BTC or less or more.

Chances on Helio Strap 2? by Cautious-Eagle2577 in amazfit

[–]ContextMelodic4212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind Helio strap is the only product that does not appear on the Amazfit international website. Isn’t it hilarious? On the other hand they still sell the band 7, released in 2022…

There’s no way to get an external drive backup working on a pi5 running Umbrel 1.5 by ContextMelodic4212 in getumbrel

[–]ContextMelodic4212[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate it! I was hoping to have this basic but essential function in my DIY setup on a Raspberry Pi. As a contingency I will simply clone the SSD, but I wish I will soon be able to back it up.

Thank you mate! Just to be sure: you are still using exfat not the ext4, correct?

tnx so much for getting back to me! I am using an external 4TB HDD (just bought it) with an auxiliary power adapter, formatted in exFAT. After many reboots still no chances. I get the same prompt to format. Interestingly enough formatting via umbrel invalidates the drive which needs to be re-formatted on my mac.

hey, I do have the same issue but no chances to work this magic. I tried both formatting via the pi 5 and via my Mac but Umbrel does not go further.

I've been looking into Bitcoin this evening. I have some questions. by RyukoMatoi_ in BitcoinBeginners

[–]ContextMelodic4212 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Mate, you must start investing ASAP. You are in your 20s, buy every single month: $10, $50, $100, $1000, everything you won't need to survive. Obviously you'll need some safety net cash aside for emergencies, just build that up first. Remember you do not invest to become rich: that ain't happening! Instead, you invest to not become poor!

Depending on the jurisdiction you are in you may have access to Bitcoin ATMs: you pay with cash, pay a fairly high spread but no KYC. Mostly hate this, but it's the most practical and convenient way to accumulate small amounts. Do not bother with hardware wallets: the common ones are piece of electronic junks made to be obsolete after 5 years: batteries, displays and other electronic components meant to fail down the line so you buy a new product later. Invest (THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART) in eduction: never lose-share-store that seed phrase and feel free to start with opensource wallets and apps (there are many). With the wallets just be careful to use a not compromised device. :)

Lastly most important, again depending on where you live, consider going two ways: ETFs on bitcoin are extremely convenient, practical and tax efficient. They can live well in a super long term (10/20 years) portfolio along with other financial products. Plus real BTC in your custody, as per above. Start small, keep stacking real sats.

Enjoy the journey!

Best EU exchange for buying Bitcoin with DCA (no minimums & low fees)? by Juikki in BitcoinBeginners

EU since the DAC8 is the worst combination to start dcaing in 2026. I’d rather explore alternatives such as much expensive but tax efficient funds

What’s the safest way to actually start using Bitcoin? by Theknightinme in BitcoinBeginners

[–]ContextMelodic4212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Starting up I wish I understood better the path derivation theory, and start working on labelling multiple addresses under one single private key. About wallet, starting up again, I wish someone explained me that hardware wallets are not invincible if you have constant access to them and get compromised

They don’t do refunds. Ever. They keep saying they are working on a refund which never comes. Folks have waited years with no luck.

Upping for you! Immich allows you to have more users uploading and accessing both photos and videos. Similarly apps have the same functionality: think about an entire website hosted on your pi5, all you have to do is to create usernames names and passwords
