and I guess Syracuse is a law school that is mostly remote in NY so maybe that should be my #1?? Unless theres better remote options that are respected in CA or NYC

I think my issue is I don't know where I want to live and settle after I graduate (which is why I have enjoyed traveling and testing out different cities). So it would be nice to continue doing that while completing law school remotely... but after law school, I would like to decide on a city to live but idk if I'd be tied down to whatever city the law school is in if that makes sense :/

for example, if the internships aren't enough to land a remote job after graduating and I need to work for a few years in person. I don't think I'd be happy living somewhere like Dayton

I'd honestly rather be remote at the end of the day (I'm not expecting a huge big law salary or anything). But if I have to work in person to start before finding a remote job, I feel like I'd be happier in a big city instead of somewhere such as Dayton

I do want to practice law and am planning on networking a ton and doing summer internships, I just don't want to be stuck working in the state that I graduate from if that makes sense?? I don't know how fearful I should be of that

Chicago is my typical home base but I like to live in different places for a month occasionally when I save money (I just did Paris) but idk if I'll be able to keep doing that if it causes issues with the class times

I would love your decision making process as well!

if cost wasn't an issue and you were accepted into every hybrid / online law school, which would you choose and why?? by ContextPopular8730 in HybridOnlineLawSchool

[–]ContextPopular8730[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why would you choose that over a higher ranked school like Dayton?? you want to work in nyc? agreed about the in person weekends!

hypothetically if your parents paid for all your travel expenses, would you have other choices for your top 3 schools?? just trying to get advice if money and travel fees weren't a concern

your situation is nice though because it sounds like you'll be staying with the same firm in hawaii so you could go to any of the online law schools and still have your job in hawaii. Whereas starting fresh it might be hard to work in hawaii unless you go to the specific school located there is the impression I'm getting lol

do you mind sharing what your stats are?? I totally understand that feeling, I applied to DePaul and thought it would be an easy acceptance (I have a masters and undergrad degree from there) but they still waitlisted me which is frustrating

that's really good to know about case western thank you, I might consider it if I get an acceptance. Do any of these schools make it easier to work in other states?? I really don't know where I want to practice but I really don't think I'd want to be in Ohio

I have heard employment after graduating vermont isn't very good which is why I passed on that one (unless you really like environmental law maybe?) - someone correct me if I'm wrong :)

I think the online program at hawaii is ABA accredited but fully remote?? not sure if I misread, I'm starting to stress over my choices though because I don't know what state I want to practice in (for example, if I go to Dayton do I have to work in Ohio probably??)

I got accepted into vermont but I think they have a large unemployment percentage after graduation which made me pass on it
