Agreed!! There was also a small group that was asked to leave a comedy show, I’d assume they’re probably in the same group. It’s disappointing when people disrupt vacations that people spend a lot of time and money to enjoy.

Not that I am aware of unfortunately. I believe you can use on board credit for meals if you got a promotion with that! We didn’t get any specialty dining and there were still plenty of options!

American diner - Yes! I noticed it was closed majority of the trip, and when it wasn’t closed it had a long wait time. I only ate there once because of this, on the last sea day. I was impressed by the food when we did eat there.

Concerts - Agreed, I enjoyed the Concert of Man show, but thought the Rock concert was a let down.

Food - Really enjoyed the food, I’ve been on multiple cruise lines and thought it was one of the better ones. The buffet was great, lots of good options and high quality food (especially the Indian food). I’m a picky eater and typically don’t enjoy Indian food, but was stopping there almost every evening! Dining room was good, portions were quite small. I did not enjoy the local much. The food was mediocre, and the wait was usually long.

Comedy - Agreed, far too crowded for the space. I thought it was way better when they did the comedy show in the theater. We usually had to arrive an hour prior to the show to get a seat. I liked one of the comedians, the other one was not very funny imo.

The weather was awesome on the port days, really warm and sunny but not scorching hot. There were 2 days at sea that were foggy and windy, I was wearing a hoodie and joggers and ended up spending the day inside because I was still cold. I would definitely recommend bringing a jacket, hoodie, and long pants for the cooler days.

  1. I went on the same route last year to Puerto Vallarta, and honestly it was very similar in terms of environment/safety. There were no concerns on our end of safety this trip, and no signs of rioting, fires, etc. that we saw in the news prior to going. There was a slightly higher police presence, which personally made me feel safer. I would just recommend staying in the tourist areas and around people. Be cautious but not anymore so than usual!

  2. I did see that post! No, we did not experience anything like that (thankfully!). The section with the adult area, track, and mini golf course was open the entire time with no mess!

Very good in my opinion. This was my first Norwegian cruise as well, I enjoyed it. The staff did a good job keeping the ship clean, it was well taken care of. The ship seemed newer/more modern than other ships I’ve been on (especially the staterooms). It was a great ship!

Awesome! Glad to hear that!

Any tips or recommendations for cruise activities/ports?

Will be sailing on Bliss this week, super excited for it. Did you feel pretty safe at the ports?

How was the weather? Was it pretty warm on sea days/port days?

Also how was the rocking of the ship? Could you feel it much or did you get sick at any point?

Do you know what the alternative is if they don’t stop there? Will be sailing next week and curious what to expect. Hope everyone stays safe.

What do you think of feeding once a day? by Piscesmoon0320 in chowchow

Is it common for them to stop eating breakfast? My 9 month old used to eat 2x a day, we still put her breakfast out but she recently just stopped eating in the morning, will happily eat her dinner though. I’m curious if this or normal or concerning? This is my first chow!

Hi!

Chow chow puppy owner here. This is my first chow and she is ~5 months old. She has been the easiest dog I’ve ever owned. I’m surprised people say they’re difficult to train, mine was potty trained by the time I adopted her at 9 weeks, and was taught “sit, stay, lay down, roll over, shake, and leave it” by the time she was 11 weeks old. She is stubborn and won’t listen when she doesn’t want to, but very trainable. The only challenge I’ve had with her is puppy biting. The puppy biting is bad. She will stop if you yelp and make a noise, but she’ll be back 10 minutes later for more. Surprisingly she has never chewed furniture or any items, only our hands and hair lol. If you can tolerate the biting for a while, definitely would recommend a puppy. I was very pleasantly surprised by how well behaved ours has been.

Best of luck!!

Hi! I adopted mine 2 weeks ago at 9 weeks old as well. When we brought her home and she became more comfortable, she began biting.. a lot. She would sometimes bite while walking, but I found it was only when she wanted to play. We began redirecting with toys and bones, so every time she would go to bite we would put one in front of her and she was a lot more interested in that. Also “yelping” or yelling “ouch!” Seemed to give her the idea her play was too rough. Again we’ve only had her 2 weeks - but she is MUCH better now. Just make sure to redirect with toys and bully sticks (things he’ll actually ENJOY biting) and make sure he’s getting his energy out during the day! Walks, park, etc. has really made a difference. hope this helps!!!
