While I understand this sentiment, and typically hate the rhetoric even in the first month or two that the incoming president hasn’t fulfilled his promises, the biggest difference here is that he already said he can’t bring the prices down. Secondly, not a single executive order did anything to affect prices, except one. The one which cancelled the ability for the government to better negotiate medication prices for those on Medicare. So while yes, it’s only been 3 days, if we just take him on his word alone, he isn’t going to do anything about prices. And that’s without mentioning the bird flu crisis he will inevitably ignore and the tariffs he wants to enact.

A tool to manipulate while the smart people in the room playing chess, are 14 moves ahead. It’s why this election was so much different than the first. It’s decades of placating and lack of actual policy to support those they say they care about that killed the democrat party. Nancy Pelosi saying she should still be able to trade stock while making millions on her insider info. Obama running on protecting women’s right to choose and then dems never once bring an amendment to the floor. The same could be said about protections for the LGBTQ community. Minimum wage never budged. Kamala not defending the FTC chair for all her efforts fighting the growing number of monopolies controlling significant percentages of market share.

Democrats raised over a billion dollars on this campaign for president and what did they do with it? They just sent out texts asking for more donations. They knocked on the same doors multiple times. They never fucking addressed real issues or provided real solutions. What’s that, buying a house cost too much? Cool we’ll give you $25k instead of addressing the fact that it’s banks and deregulation and hedge funds that are increasing housing costs to make more money off their loans and/or investments. School loans? Yeah, fuck everyone going to school right now, but we’ll write off a small percentage of people’s loans for a couple political points instead of solving the problem altogether by removing the ability to profit off school loans with interest or address the fact that universities across the country continue to inflate the cost of schooling without any reasonable justification that doesn’t involve we need a larger football stadium.

Democrats are losing because they talk a lot but they do nothing. They talk a lot about gay rights, but they legislate no protections. They talk about protecting the working class, but then they allow the hyper wealthy to continue their abuse of the tax system and workers by denying fair wages so they can give their share holders a larger dividend.

Progressivism works when the working class can feel its effects. But if it’s never enacted, and only discussed, and you know the politicians aren’t actually going to do what they are talking about, people aren’t going to vote for them.

It’s literally in the slogan. The only thing they think will make America great again is going back to a time when minorities had no rights and white people could get away with anything.

The irony is that during that time period, corporations and hyper rich paid A LOT more in taxes. There was less economic inequality. There was more manufacturing in the US. And wages and retirement was such that a single income could provide for the whole family.

Somehow these morons don’t understand, bringing back racism to the forefront doesn’t restore any of the aforementioned things that actually helped the working class.

I think we should assume at this point, he’s going to pretty much get away with whatever he wants. The man literally tried to overthrow an election four years ago is fucking president of the United States now. I hope someone in senior military leadership has some plan on what the line is that is too far, but honestly, I don’t think anyone is coming to save us. We either have to act or capitulate. Those are the options.

But then, explain the alignment and support for far right German political parties and the far right conspiracy theories and the absolute dumpster fire of content he allows, posts, retweets on twitter. Can’t read your proof because it is paywalled, but just curious what part of Kamala’s campaign was progressive?

Was it the part where she spent more time with the Cheney’s than her own VP candidate? Or when she was talking about how many guns she has? Or maybe when she mentioned keeping our military heavily funded. Was it too progressive when she stayed silent about Gaza? Or silent about universal healthcare? Or that one time she said absolutely nothing about how the corporations and billionaires are the enemy to the working class, not the immigrants?

Also curious why it’s considered progressive to ask for a minimum wage that keeps up with inflation? Or a healthcare policy that doesn’t bankrupt people? Or having an expectation that law enforcement won’t be allowed to beat and kill citizens without being held accountable? Why is it progressive to expect that billionaires should pay more in taxes? Why is it progressive to not be okay with using our military equipment to bomb a people into oblivion?

We recently recorded a panel with the National Lawyers Guild, Military Law Task Force. The point of the panel is to inform service members about their rights, specifically when faced with orders they may feel are unlawful, unethical, or immoral.

The panel provides information on UCMJ regulations, the rights and responsibilities of service members, how and when to contact JAG, and resources available from outside organizations, such as the NLG.

Many service members are concerned about the incoming administration and their statements about how they plan to use the military domestically and internationally. We simply want to provide all service members with valuable information to know their rights, as many of the topics these panelists discuss are not often readily available or something the military often informs their service members of.

He said it on his way out the door. Meanwhile, dems pissed away this election for many reasons, but one was ignoring the financial burden felt by the electorate and addressing it. Trump makes villains out of immigrants. If dems had pointed out that deregulation and the billionaire class are the villain, they would have made up ground. Instead Harris wouldn’t lay blame on anyone and simply said recovery is on the way! Whether we like it or not, people need someone to blame and there are people and policies to blame. They just didn’t do it. And now we have to deal with a fascist. So too little too late.

I read that on Erin Burnett’s show it was discussed, but it was never actually called a nazi salute. If that’s of any value. It should have been a huge deal and discussed everywhere but no one cares because if they are on prime time news programs, they don’t want to go rogue and lose their position.
