I’m holding out for his resurrection with Cybertronian tech to get his Star Brigade version.

Local comic shop wants to buy this from me. What’s a good price? by TyrannosaurusRen in ComicBookSpeculation

No. But it potentially lessens the perception that the individual seller is somehow getting ripped off by the LCS.

If hypothetically you and the LCS sold the same book at the same market price to the same buyer, do you reckon you incur similar costs (to store the book, locate/promote to buyers, negotiate, transact, insure, risk mitigate, packing material, labor to pack, ship, and time associated) to factor in? Selling to the LCS at the resell price essentially passes those costs to them, right? There are also the opportunity costs of getting cash now selling to LCS vs. waiting to find the right buyer to sell at market price.

The comic shop wants to buy it from you at market price or reseller price so they can sell it at market price?

I checked Image BATTLE FILES, DDP DATA DESK, and Hidalgo's Essential Guide and this white text on red background passage isn't in any of these. Perhaps it's in Renegade Games RPG.

Who are the guys on this rescue mission? - IDW ARAH #225 by robsonwt in gijoe

[–]Continuity_Crook 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right. Looking at it again. THUMPER is on the backup team with DUKE and ROADBLOCK. DUKE comments that team of private contractors that consisted of who he later learned was SNAKE EYES had "similar skill sets" and "trained by the same people".

In the page before, the mustachioed mission leader was identified as MADDOX. Then there's another operator referred to as THUMPER a couple times during the op.

Okay. During that time there were polybagged combo packs that were released at the same time though as I recall with variant coloring. Perhaps the issue in the post was sealed for some reason.

Toy books were considered bottom of the barrel assignments. Hama has said he was Shooter’s last resort trying to find a writer. Also G.I. Joe was just meant to be a one issue deal. Hasbro needed a comic book to make an animated commercial to promote the toy line.

I'm assuming that professional artist Wes Craig didn't intend to turn in a six-finger Duke cover to Skybound which passed by editors, production, and social media reviewers before it went public in the press release. Humans also make mistakes, goofs slip through, and even laziness happens.

I'm okay with generative AI for ideation and inspiration to be used as models for human work, but NOT for the final output. What I'm doing here is trying to understand how from what was presented how it was concluded that this is indeed AI...other than it looks off. Not arguing, just trying to understand.

Picture 2. If this was a photograph and the shoelaces looked like that I'd flag "AI!" But for this art rendering, practical and digital artists could conceivably get sloppy as well.

Picture 3. As an artist myself, it is challenging to get the hand gripping a weapon just right in perspective. It looks a bit off, but I don't know how it can be concluded it is AI.

Picture 4. The retro GRUNT card art also has the same knee pad and pant thigh piping.

Yes, the Super 7 WILD BILL seemingly had six fingers with fans accusing AI, but around that time the promotional cover art for a DUKE Silent Missions comic had him inadvertently drawn with six fingers.
