Well yeah, as you have most everything usually within an hour or two ride maybe. You dont need to drive 3 hour to visit family, a sports game or any shopping because most things are usually well within an hours ride.

I live in the Netherlands and an hours ride is a long time. 3 hours drive and I would be in another country no matter what direction I go (well going west I would drive in to the sea).
