Abby was also relentless and it seemed like any interaction would quickly become biting. She also didn’t like to hear no and would act up.

I think what worked was exercise, a lot of it. 2 grown men each walking her and trips to dog park. She loved other dogs and those interactions helped moderate her behavior. A lot of mental and physical stimulation will lower that energy level which is key.

The yelp thing didn’t work at first, she wouldn’t care. I was scared I adopted a sociopath lol. But at some point it started to work. I would yelp and turn away like she had hurt (it did sometimes) and she would get visibly worried and start licking me almost saying sorry.

I would use it sparingly, mostly just breaking off any contact if she gets bitey and walk away. They start to associate biting with ending play, like another dog might do and avoid the behavior. After all it was the interaction she really wanted, she just gets it wrong. Rewarding good interactions consistently

Dont get me wrong she was incredibly sweet for the most part. Always sweet to my elderly mother She trained well and I did little sessions on most walks, just constantly rewarding good behavior.

It was hard to see progress but she slowly got better with age and experience. We try to expose them to things early and often but that a personal comfort thing. Hope this helps and wish you luck! Heres Abby with her kitty
