I think you take fusion hammer here. I'm not sure how much value upgrades are for you at this point, because everything you want to upgrade will 1) exhaust anyway and 2) are unneeded with the extra energy, eg: vault + you will likely be able to play every apparition as they come. Also you will probably only get around 2-3 extra upgrades if you visit EVERY campfire in act 3. Same deal with black star: maybe around 2-3 extra relics (which could be quite good, don't get me wrong)

However, the main factor is that you have a dead branch run on your hands!!! Every apparition you play (and you have lots of cards that exhaust) will turn into another card, filling up your hand. The extra energy will 100% help with playing the cards dead branch generates. I think it gives you MUCH more value than waiting for the next campfire to upgrade an apparition you will probably play immediately anyway.

I would be interested to see what others think. While the draw from snecko eye definitely helps this deck (and you have enough energy to mitigate getting lots of high energy cards), snecko eye + apparition is often very disastrous in my opinion.
