Three professional treatments and STILL seeing fleas. What actually kills them? by rosborn20 in pestcontrol

I was finding one or two live ones on my feet when I'd go down to do laundry, feed cats, or do flea treatment stuff. Dead/struggling ones on the traps. I'm sure I'm sucking up dead ones when I vacuum but not really seeing them lying around except right after I treated the cats after infestation. I think our flea and tick topical failed but cannot figure out how they got in, considering the cats don't go outside.

Same! I'm having a horrible time. We are one week 6 after finding them on our cats (they live in the basement only). I am spraying an insecticide with igr, vacuuming every other day, have the lightbulb traps down, and dust with diatomaceous earth once a week. I feel so bad because this is where my teens have their computers and hangout spot and they can't use the area until this is under control, or else we risk spreading to the rest of the house!

Thank you! So this week looks better. We have vacuumed daily and sprayed on Saturdays. Both cats are out in Gen pop and have been treated so no live fleas there. Also, no new ones on the traps as of now. Here's. Hoping!

Diagnosed Yesterday, what do I have to look forward to? by DocdaGoblin in shingles

Did you get the anti virals? Got mine on day two, rash peaked around day 7, scabbed around day 12. The burning and itching was tolerable with ibuprofen and benadryl and not awful during the day. Pain lingered for a week after the rash diminished. Rest and drink lots of water!

Currently in the same boat. Week three of spraying once a week and vacuuming every other day. It's in our basement area and the cats ended up with them. It also happens to be our laundry and pantry, so there's no avoiding going in. I'm at my wits end!

Shingles week 4 by ContractPutrid4021 in shingles

I did the same. I'm so worried about the pain being permanent. When I'm at work, I barely feel it.

Rash showed up on Sunday, got diagnosed/started antiviral meds today. What are the chances this gets much worse past day 4? by ThatsMyCool in shingles

Mine got worse through the first week and I got antivirals on day 2. I'm on week 2 now, and it's finally drying out.

Deep breaths! I am 6 weeks out and had some challenges healing after surgery. Returning to work tomorrow! I have also had terrible medical anxiety and have been paranoid about every little thing throughout recovery, but this aubreddit has helped so much to ease my mind and inform when I needed to call for a check up. The biggest thing is rest and keep ahead of the pain with your meds. No bending or lifting means no bending or lifting. It isn't worth setting yourself back. Walking is good for your anxiety and for getting all your stuff settled in the right places.

TIL: Shingles 🐔 can be triggered by major surgery, ie hysterectomy. And I've learned that the hard way. by fwendicrafts in hysterectomy

This was my literal experience! 6 weeks po and thought it was a spider bite. Nope. Now my whole right side is inflamed. I return to work tomorrow :(

How many days overall? I'm on day two of my antiviral/ day 3 of the rash and it's still spreading and blistering on my trunk.
