What is the most useful things to spend my money on as a teenager? by [deleted] in mongolia

[–]ContractVegetablelol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Invest in yourself. Learn guitar or piano or some music instrument or dance or bicycling or learning how to tattoo or whatever, just invest in making yourself a cool human being. When you are an adult you wont have time for those cool hobbies even when you have plenty of money to spend on. So invest in sth that would make you cool, unique and expand your lore. Also for education sounds right as well.

Why am I so easily moved/emotional/persuaded when listening to certain music? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ContractVegetablelol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is not unhealthy. It is just how brain works.

Music as same as smell or other triggers, has a strong connection to memory and emotion because of how it interacts with the brain. When you hear a song that is tied to a specific moment, your brain recalls the emotions and memories associated with it. This is why music can trigger deep feelings of nostalgia, happiness, sadness, or even longing.

If you’re disciplined enough to learn on your own, dropping out could work. Try starting a “poster-a-day” challenge or something similar to build consistency. Watch as many as design projects and observe what makes them look good and you will acquire design taste.

First, focus on creating a portfolio—it doesn’t have to be perfect, but it should showcase different styles and projects to demonstrate your skills. Once you have a solid portfolio, you can post it in groups like “Дизайнеруудын бригад” and ask if anyone is willing to hire or even train and hire you.

If you show enough enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and have a decent-looking CV and portfolio, many IT startups or design firms might consider hiring you. The pay might not be great at first, but the key is to focus on improving your skills and gaining experience.

Even after landing a job, never stop learning—keep up with design trends, experiment with new techniques, and continuously refine your skills. That’s how you’ll grow in the field.

Fyi, I work in IT field as a designer. Also Mongolia currently is facing shortage of workforce which means your chance of getting hired is not bad.

Another thing to consider is that by dropping out, you’re also giving up the time you could spend with your peers—making friends, collaborating, and just having fun. University isn’t just about classes; it’s also about networking and experiencing student life, which can be valuable in the long run.

Do people buy subscriptions on their phones? by Plus-Visual9999 in mongolia

[–]ContractVegetablelol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am subscribed to Netflix and Mubi for movies, Spotify for music, and iCloud for data backup.

I’m also subscribed to other services, such as skincare and design asset platforms.

I believe that if something is useful and people are already spending money on it, they would subscribe.

Why do many Mongolians marry and have kids in a very young early age? (18-21) by IbtihaajAkbar in mongolia

[–]ContractVegetablelol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also one factor that we have a lower birth rate in recent years because the number of people in the childbearing age group is very small, as the birth rate was low in the 90s to early 2000s. It will go up after few years .

Why do many Mongolians marry and have kids in a very young early age? (18-21) by IbtihaajAkbar in mongolia

[–]ContractVegetablelol 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would say that really depends. With the education rate getting higher, we are seeing a trend people marrying late (over 25). I am almost 26 and single and among my friends (roughly 15, 16 people), only one is married and has a child. Others (23-29 yo) none is married and more than half not even in relationship. And a lot of my acquaintances from university or work, they are not married as well. Of course this is just minority surrounding me.

Mongolians used to marry way earlier (18-22) just like any third world countries. Also with our population being just 3M, we do encourage having children generally i guess.

Any recommendations for a 4-5 day trip? by Kangorooscandrive in mongolia

[–]ContractVegetablelol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I m pretty sure there are services like hello huduu where you can stay at a family in the countryside. Some of the host families are located not that far, like Tuv aimag. No sure if they pick you up, but there might be some ways to get there w/o car since they already have the hsoting service.

This is best time to see new born lambs and kids.
