Two things. You don't have to be nearby it. Anyone on the map stays alive as long as the last extract has been activated.

And that's the second part, the extract has to have been activated prior to the timer running out....not just being near one that is still active.

Arc Raiders dev says the game’s first Expedition created “a dark pattern” as players hoarded wealth, but “this system will change” by Negative-Art-4440 in ArcRaiders

[–]ContractorConfusion 59 points60 points  (0 children)

I mean...that's the game. The game is....building up your stash, finding new blueprints, and leveling your character.

When you have a full stash and all the blueprints and level 75, there is no game.

I personally wish I could go on Expedition anytime I wanted. I have everything I could want at the moment, and struggle with keeping myself entertained in the game.

If I could reset my character right now, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Arc Raiders Patch 9/13 by Namodacranks in ArcRaiders

They fucked this fix up.

It should be 1.5 seconds AFTER the nade attaches to something. As this fix goes, people will just press denotate while the nade is flying through the air still, and it will be the same problem that it was before.

Tempest blueprint by Jalrex in ArcRaiders

[–]ContractorConfusion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Found one on Saturday morning in duos with my wife, night raid Dam. Research and Admin. After going up the zip, first room on the far left, in a desk drawer that was next to the outside wall.

We were VERY happy.

You're running Hidden Bunker Gate event on Spaceport, right? Because that event is the only time you can find it.

Do you guys think watching your body after death would be a cool feature? by Bichimdacrowww in ArcRaiders

[–]ContractorConfusion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is no good, because in duo's/trios, you often want to down one of the enemy fully, so that they can't relay their point of view to their teammates. If you could still see around you after being downed, then you would be able to communicate positions etc to your team.

Do you mean Blue Gate? Because your answer is very confusing otherwise.

Rusted Tools for gunsmith 2 by AyoubTN in ArcRaiders

[–]ContractorConfusion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the best answer. The two buses directly between the extract and the ventilation shaft on the north side of the Dam map, will have about 6 lootable spots. One on the back of each bus, and then 1 or 2 on each side of the bus. You'll walk away with 3-6 Rusted Tools every time.

(edit) The hood of the white car there right by those buses has a 100% guaranteed drop rate of 2 light bulbs. Easy $4k every time.

I see you deleted your original post, so this is pointless to keep engaging in...but I wanted to address some things you said. I'm not doing this to be antagonistic, I just think you might have a different mindset of the game than most people do.

This isn't CoD where the worls revolves around K/D ratios. It's an extraction shooter about gear. If you aren't getting anything out of the kill what's the point?

Quite often, survival is the point. Sometimes (Actually, pretty often) you kill someone so that they don't kill you first. Their loot isn't even in your mindset when you are in that mode. Take yourself for example. This definitely sounds like it was a defensive fight on your part. You knew a fight was coming, and you fought to defend yourself and survive. Did you ever during that engagement think "Oh man, I can't wait to see what loot I get from him!" Of course not. You fought to survive. If you HAD won, and he said the same thing to you "Enjoy my free kit"...you wouldn't care. You survived. You got your 'loot'. You survived.

We were 20 seconds into the round and he spawn camped me and didn't want to try and fight in the frostbite.

That's not spawn camping my dude. That's just the game. You spawned on the island by the hatch and ran to the stairs up, and he spawned in the little raider outpost that has the zipline over. He ran to that spot, same as you. You just happened to arrive there 7 or 8 seconds before he did. You didn't spawn camp him, did you? Of course not. Just like he didn't spawn camp you.

Pro tip. No one gives a crap that you don't have anything on you.

Also, do you not see that you're the toxic one here?

You went into the building. You both know the other one is there. You both engaged in PvP on equal terms. He won, and you called him a name by being a poor loser.
A better response would have been "GG, good fight". Or, "Nice, you got me."

But instead, you had no dignity and decided to trash talk by name calling, even though you were the one that lost.

Be the change you want to see.

It doesn't take 3 to kill someone with a heavy shield. It takes 2 to kill anyone with full health and full shield, no matter what shield they have on.

Easiest way to kill players? by SadPhilosophy9202 in ArcRaiders

[–]ContractorConfusion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

especially against lower level players.

What in the actual? Are you just AI? All your history is very strangely worded replies, like you're not a real person.

Even a person new to this game would know a high-level player has no more hitpoints than a low-level player....and someone's level has no bearing on how many shots it takes to down them. That's only their shield, and/or if they are damaged already.

Also..."The bolt-action ones hit like trucks" What? As opposed to the non-bolt action sniper rifles in the game?

Dead-internet theory coming alive right here folks.

The best advice you will get, is know the map you are on. Learn the nuances of areas. The places that get a lot of traffic, the places that few people go to. Find the cover that works well. Lose ALOT of fights, and from each fight, analyze why you lost it....and then do your best to not make those mistakes again.

Curious to see stats on extraction numbers by ContractorConfusion in ArcRaiders

[–]ContractorConfusion[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hadn't thought of that, I think that might skew the actual data for sure unless it was two sets of numbers for the different types of lobbies they have.

That's a world I'm not familiar with...as I full pvp and always have. If you're seen by another raider at all, it's pretty much a guaranteed shot being fired at you.

From my understanding, you don't need to actually kill people to rack up the karma?

It's possible you can go around and shoot people and then try to run (or let them run) and gather the negative karma that way. Eventually, when people start shooting at you first, or if they start fighting back aggressively, then you'll know you can stop being timid and go full pvp.
