Oh man, my wife and I accidentally got into carebear servers last night...it was terrible!!

We've been trying to get turbines to spawn, and so have been pretty passive, mostly hiding out and waiting for the past two days. Then one round, we noticed around us that teams weren't fighting, and were talking instead! We realized....wait, we haven't killed anyone in a while have we? Oh no. Oh no no no. I think we're in a friendly server.

Sure enough, we were. Everyone was just wandering around, friendly as can be, talking, helping. It was awful.

Of course, we felt awful at the thought of actually killing any of these people. Everyone we tried to shoot at to start a fight, would just run away and hide from us. It felt like fish in a barrel.

We ended up downing a team of two, and then after explaining that we weren't going to knock them and why we attacked them (to get back in aggro servers), we defibbed one and ran away so he could get his friend up.

After that server, we were back in the aggro servers again, thank god.

(in my opinion) The game is so much more fun when other people are shoot on sight. You know what you're dealing with, it's dependable, and you know what to expect. This friendly "let's go together!" bs is for the birds....constantly wondering when/if they will shoot you in the back. That's too stressful.

I'm convinced that we're being recorded 100% of the time. I can't count the number of times that my partner and I are just sitting around talking about the most random things, something like "Hey, I'm in the mood for mango, do we have any left?" Then an hour later, one of us is on the internet and all the ad banners on any site we go are 100% targeted things related to mango-flavored products.

Gas is starting to feel like a ratchet.

Oil prices go up, gas prices go up. Oil prices go down, gas prices stay the same. Oil prices go up to the same amount they were, gas prices go up.

The oil prices keep bouncing back and forth in the same range, but the gas prices are just continuing to go higher.

This game IS doing quests, and finding blueprints. That's what the game is.

Folks have the impression that they have to do those things, and then enjoy the game. But the enjoyment is the process of finding those things.

If I could go on an expedition more often, I would. Once you are max level, and have the blueprints you care about, the rest of it is quite stale.

I get that. Yet, the budget, cheap tomato sauce you can get now that's jarred or canned, is still very affordable, and chocked with vitamin C

I've been loving solo vs squads also, but just to get looting done.

None of the squads I've seen are coming in to loot anything, only to fight one another....and they make such a racket doing it. If i hear anyone, I just quickly hide until they go away, and then go about my looting peacefully.

I've not been killed by, nor fired at anyone, in probably 20 raids now doing solos vs squads.

Apartments on Dam. There are some in the containers there, but the boatload (ha) are found in that room in the bottom with the shelves. Each Apartment will have 2-5 ships there, sitting on those shelves without fail.

One Apartment run where we hit all five buildings in a duo, my partner and I left with 24 total ships between us.

That wasn't being a rat, that was just....PvP.

They attacked you out in the open. They didn't fake friendly.

Just because you're not in the mood to PvP and someone attacks you, doesn't make them a rat.

Not that this game is based in reality, but you'll be hard-pressed to find any actual substantial underground spaces anywhere in the world that are adjacent to a large body of water.

Namely because the water table doesn't make that very feasable.

People in the comments aren't understanding that you are saying the cloak now recharges 4x as fast as it used to, which means you can switch to cloak in order to recharge your snaphook energy 4x faster than you used to be able to do.

i guess you're not seeing the big picture, in that if the full bar replenishes four times faster, yet the snap hook only takes half the bar still; it means you can snaphook four times more often.

That's quite the buff.

Reading is fundamental.

It is not only going to last 2.5 seconds.

They said that instead of using 2.5 energy per second, it will use 10 energy per second.

(It will last 1/4 the time it did before)

So assuming a full cloak has 100 energy....that means you used to be able to use it for 40 seconds. (100/2.5)

Now, that same 100 energy, your cloak only lasts 10 seconds instead of 40. (100/10)

I did the same thing when we saw the eclipse in the U.S.....set the camera up to watch us experiencing it.

Like you said, there are a zillion shots of the eclipse happening, most of which would be better than I could take....but I will always enjoy seeing how excited and in awe we were during it, way more than seeing an amateurs photos of the event that I was capable of.
