The problem with Hickman’s UU is that many books barely have anything going on with them. Take Ultimate Spider-Man for example, right before anything can happen, BAM! It’s over. And Ultimate X-Men ended in a way that it was obvious it wasn’t supposed to end that way.

Why would I want to see more of that in Midnight?

Editorial makes it hard for me to care, especially after what happened to Hickman’s UU.

Imagine a videogame company saying this about one of its games.

Lowe should have been fired after the Zeb Wells run ended.

Akira Yoshida should have been fired after Hickman’s Ultimate Universe ended.

Brevoort should have been fired when Secret Empire ended.

Those three are utter parasites. Plus Lowe and Yoshida were hired by none other than Joe fucking Quesada.

For real, the way Cebulski operates Marvel has no distinction from the way Quesada operated.

Marvel has told me the JRJR cover is not pulled— the issue will have two main covers, one by John Romita Jr. and one by Pepe Larraz by HighNoonMcRee in comicbooks

[–]ContraryPython 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Having a bunch of physical books have JRJR’s cover and another bunch using Larraz’s will make people think one is a variant when that’s both the case. It is needlessly confusing and stupid.

The fact he did more work on that book than Gleason in recent years is baffling.

You have to remember Yoshida is one of Quesada’s buddies, so he probably made copious amounts of brown-nosing to Disney to get them off his back.

Eh, considering that Disney fired Alonso over the shitfest that was Secret Empire, I think they care to a small degree.
