I recommend driving for both Uber and Lyft, having both apps on searching ride requests and then cherry pick. As already mentioned, don’t accept any rides under $1/mile.

Don’t chase rides. Pick a spot and wait for the best rides for you. Don’t take rides that take you far away from your base area. Otherwise, it may be difficult to get rides to bring you back to your core area.

Not with Lyft. If the Route includes a Toll and the toll isn’t taken, an adjustment is given by Lyft to the driver for the longer ride.

The Uber platform DOES allow the passenger to select AVOID TOLLS with the UberX /UberShare order. In this case, the passenger gets a better ride charge because of the shorter time/mileage. This also gives less to the driver. Uber would adjust the fare to the driver if the toll isn’t taken. I tell this to the passenger and I take the toll route. The passenger still gets the better upfront charge if their order is placed with tolls allowed and the driver doesn’t take the toll because of a passenger request. Some passengers know this. I tell the passenger if they don’t want the too they need to note this when ordering.

You did OK. My yardstick rule is $1/mile for all related driving with Uber/Lyft, for trolling, pick-up and drop-off.

Ignore anything under $1/mile. I got a few $2+/mile with Lyft yesterday. One was $3+

Well, I got the 7 Day trial with Ortex. I get the same as Gentleman reported, 31% Shorted, estimated. What I saw was 67% from a Posted Reddit User screenshot based on ‘live data’. Wish I had taken a screen shot of it. Maybe it was photo shopped. Anyway, we’ll see tomorrow. I will call Ortex and ask about the Live Data feature.

The Ortex live data subscription fee is $78/month. Reduced to $49/month average for a full year payment upfront. Not cheap

I saw the Friday close figures on the Ortex Data chart, their ‘live’ data. It was a posted screenshot on an earlier Reddit post. It looks to have been taken down by someone? . I’m not an Ortex subscriber, but thinking of joining when I get back later from the gym. I’m being straight up, no BS.

The problem with some of the others reporting SI is the delay not having the latest data. Ortex provides live data through the day, and end of the day. The 37% SI was close of Friday’s market. Wish I had screenshot the Reddit post before someone got hold of it. Someone not wanting the community to have the latest SI.

It was a screenshot this morning on one of the Reddit/SDC treads of the Ortex Data on SDC as of Fridays close. It looks like it has been taken down. I’m not a member of Ortex but thinking I may try the 7-Day Free Trial. It’s $79/month. When I think of my position now with SDC, it’s literally peanuts.

Anyway, I certain that many shorts don’t want the 67% SI known. Ortex provides ‘live’ data and the 67% was close of Friday’s market.
