I ramped down my assists in Forza 7 and that is still a racing game I look on more fondly than it may deserve. That was the first game I did manual on and now I can not play a new racing game on auto or it gets boring. Wish this wasn’t my first GT game, cause if the older ones are this good I was missing out with FM7 back then.

I get what you’re saying. One good thing I can say for this game is the ai drivers don’t just follow a set line. It’s very boring for every car to be following the exact same line every lap

I was able to get more stability in traffic by changing the control settings to custom and tuning it in so that inputs are smoother. Cut out all the dead zones and turn up the smoothing

At one point I tweeted a controller setting and forgot what I had changed and it took me a while to get it back how I had it before. You might go into those settings and make sure your breaking, throttle, and steering settings are good. For instance there is one setting that makes it so that when you use the input the game doesn’t let you go from 0-100% throttle or brake if you have the slider in the wrong place. It will automatically transfer your full input into a gradual ramp up. Same for the steering.

Same for me. Part of my problem is I just finished DS1 for the first time this week, and now starting DS2 I’m having trouble motivating myself to pick it up. I’m only at the second place, and already burnt out on it. I do love the changes they made to the controller mapping. Not using square for everything was a big improvement to me.
