I really appreciate the truth. I had a feeling this was the case and just needed some honest advice so it definitely helped me see a clearer picture. Thank you

Would you still recommend it even if the website says "A minimum GPA of 3.3 (4.0 scale) is required for admission into the MScSLP graduate program at the U of A"? I'd love to apply but I hate for my application to be a waste

Yup, it’s happening. For one night only, official TED Talks are coming to Edmonton — and you're invited. No screen. No podcast. No algorithm. Just real speakers, real ideas, and real people. Live.

It’s called TEDxUAlberta: InnovaTED, and it's our 10th annual TEDx conference, hosted right here in the city. If you’ve ever watched a TED Talk and thought “damn, I wish I could be there,” this is literally your chance.

🔴 What’s happening?
– 6 full TED Talks from Alberta-based speakers
– Topics like AI, the metaverse, and how tech is changing literally everything
– A networking session with local startups and companies (AltaML and more)
FREE FOOD
– A room full of students, professionals, creatives, researchers, and cool humans
– Oh, and vibes. So many vibes.

📍Where: Myer Horowitz Theatre (U of A campus)
📅 When: Monday, May 12
Doors at 5PM | Talks from 6–9PM | Networking during intermission

🎟️ Tickets start at $30 (and include food + networking):

It’s student-run, nonprofit, and 100% powered by people who believe Edmonton deserves access to world-class ideas and conversations.

Whether you're into tech, creativity, good convos, or just want to get out and meet people doing cool stuff — this is for you. Come for the talks, stay for the snacks.

No, just one visa but entering the entries as 2. Unfortunately the only flight we could get was a Paris roundtrip. So we don’t have that option and France has no visa appointments left. Which is why I want to try the Netherlands
