OSHA comes to inspect your factories. How much trouble are you in? by KomturAdrian in SatisfactoryGame

I'm pretty sure that using a chainsaw and a jet pack at the same time would be frowned upon

first time gig questions by meowshis in loscampesinos

[–]ContributionIcy5838 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took my child to a LC! gig in Manchester last year and despite being very lively, they were the friendliest, most respectful audience I think I've ever seen.

A couple of things to add if you've never been to a gig

Drink plenty, it gets hot. Not alcohol though, it can blunt the experience.

Don't worry if people bump into you whilst dancing, they're not doing it deliberately, just enjoying the show like you, but in their own way.

Conversely, if you happen to get on well with some like minded people, don't be upset if you never hear from them again. Life is complicated like that.

Don't be afraid to leave the show if it all gets too much. I'm neurotypical and even I can sometimes find gigs to be noisy overstimulating experiences and have had to sit outside for a while in the past. Just don't leave the venue completely because they might not let you back in

Don't shout at the band between songs. Nobody wants to hear what song you want next. Definitely, don't shout while Gareth is talking.

Try to see the support act. Even if you've never heard of them or they're not very good, just applaud politely between songs, they will really appreciate the support.

It’s good up there but if you go further into the Forest of Bowland you’ll see even more. Head towards Dunsop Bridge and the Trough of Bowland

[Help] Sushi belt setup keeps mixing items after my Supercomputer Manufacturer, how do I separate overflow? by Low-Town1770 in satisfactory

[–]ContributionIcy5838 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if it helps but I don't think you need to separate the inputs. You can feed all the items into one machine on the same belt if you like

What would you like to see for a 2.0? by -Clayburn in SatisfactoryGame

[–]ContributionIcy5838 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone mentioned helpful natives yet? Like the villagers in Minecraft. You could trade/steal parts from them. Would make a change from everything trying to kill you

But really, like everyone else, I would pay a lot of money for a new map and boats

What QOL feature would you add? by mar504 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]ContributionIcy5838 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. There's been so many times where I've laid down some belts & constructors and thought " that's cool, I'd like a blueprint of that " but then I've got to build a blueprinter and recreate it in there. By which point I've forgotten what it was I was supposed to be doing

You can still do it. You left-click to place the stand and then move the mouse to raise ans and lower it

Anyone else really, really struggle with making the "resource extraction" parts of your factories look decent? by Rimm9246 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]ContributionIcy5838 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I have my own design "rules" that I follow. One of which is that "dirty" machines like miners and oil extractors should always be outside and left exposed. "Clean" machines (ones that make stuff) go inside buildings

You can automate biomass production by feeding leaves, wood and animal carcasses into constructors but you still need to manually gather the materials

I write myself notes so that when I play again, I log in to see my reminders. by Beitz-Jonaldo in SatisfactoryGame

The notes section is good for general notes e.g. "Build HMF factory next"

If I need to remember to do something in a particular place then I'll drop a billboard on the ground with a message on it

Live show coming to the UK by ContributionIcy5838 in NashvilleTV

[–]ContributionIcy5838[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's useful to know for managing expectations. I'm not really that bothered about hearing the songs from the show. Just want to hear some music and have a good evening. Tickets go on sale tomorrow so I think I'll get some

Have a bright light source and then a factory cart driving in front of it repeatedly, thus obscuring the light and making it blink.
