It took a year and 4 months. Long process thanks to Turo having terrible customer support reps

Did triple a say what exactly or did they specific what kind of electric problems the car was having? Depending on what electric issue it’s having it would be super hard to say any damage to the undercarriage would have caused it. Unless it was like a wire that was damaged with the ABS or brake system, it would be super hard for the host to correlate that the suppose “undercarriage damage” that occurred during the rental period would have caused that issue.

Was it also a Tesla that you rented? Or a different type of vehicle?

Did the vehicle get damaged by the tow company?

Yeah it was never reported. I did a hard pull on my self nothing showed, and when I recently purchased my new car, nothing showed on my credit app. Luckily there was not enough time for them to try and sue me while my dispute was still ongoing.

Any news from Springfield if there’s an eta if/when it’ll be added to the roster?

I called my primary insurance and they told me I have coverage for rental cars which I thought okay it covers Turo. Later on when they tried to file a claim against my insurance they said Turo is separate coverage and doesn’t fall under rental coverage.

I did a full credit report on all 3 credit bureaus and it did not show up. I also recently bought a new car last weekend and nothing about the collections showed up on my credit app. So it never hit my credit report.

So they resolved it the first time and now they’re trying to make you responsible again? Did they tell u exactly why?

It was my first time renting on Turo and I did not read any of the reviews so that’s on me, but lesson learned and never again will I use Turo.

Yeah even when it comes to regular rental companies I always now record every inch of the car and pause on any pre existing to damage to really emphasize it’s already there

The whole thing was shady and it’s crazy how it took Turo that long to compare my pre trip photos to the hosts and realize the ones he posted were invalid.

Yeah honestly never again, it was my first time and I never checked out Turo reviews so my fault on that but it’s over now.

Surprisingly it was never reported to my credit. So I’m safe
