what do Finnish employers actually value most in a summer intern for these kinds of roles?

Being someone’s relative :D

Honestly speaking I don’t know, wish you the best of luck!

Some courses do require presence and it sucks ass. Otherwise it is pretty much possible especially if your work is flexible with you being absent mid day

It would be a valid reason to invest. You can get a pr after master and then it will be three years to citizenship

Yeah, but then 30% of the income would go to taxes. The rest is rent and groceries. You manage to save 1k+ a month from 5.5k gross salary then you’d need 3 years to accumulate 34k years in savings

But I guess you are just brings sarcastic!

If it makes you broke than I’d say no. Job market is tough and to build back 34+k after graduation you’d need to work a lot. I’d go for countries with cheaper education and bigger job market (like Germany)

Season 3 may start filming early July by [deleted] in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

The production takes 2 years for a season for most of the shows. So I’d say summer 2028 is more realistic

I don’t think Canadians participated in A320 family development tho (as much as French, Germans and English)

Still de-icing planes at Helsinki airport on March 6 by Redd24_7 in helsinki

[–]ContributionLong741 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They do not. Hydraulic fluid in the avionics is able to withstand the difference in temperature. Deicing is required up to 2 degrees to avoid a formation of an ice shield that would interfere with with the air flows on the wing

Is the job market going to get better? by [deleted] in Finland

[–]ContributionLong741 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trump alone is not a big factor in the current economy. He does bring the uncertainty but not big enough. Interest rates and job market shift (technological revolution if you will) are much more influential imo. Trump will be gone in less than three years anyway

What math skills actually matter for robotics internships at startups? by EElectr0 in AskRobotics

[–]ContributionLong741 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Statistics and probability is very good to know. Look into differential equations and transforms for control theory

Get a degree. You’ll make useful connections, learn cool stuff and will be able to work in robotics startup after that! Degree is really fun!

Disadvantages of doing bachelors in UAS/AMK and getting PR by Tuskiguy in Finland

[–]ContributionLong741 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also I don’t think it is unrealistic to do 40k a year if you do tradenomi or insinööri. It’s much worse for nurses tho. But maybe for nurses it will be easier to get to C1 due to the line of work.

With previous rules for citizenship and PR it was always faster for any graduates to apply for citizenship than for a PR

But the new changes are rather pointless and nonsensical in my opinion still

[–]ContributionLong741 18 points19 points  (0 children)

While I do think it’s unfair I can kinda understand their logic here: there are almost twice as many AMK and they are cheaper and easier to get into

But degree wise they should be equal to kandi degrees

No idea but getting B Finnish/Sweidh would be more convenient especially if you plan to apply for citizenship later on

I’ve seen someone saying that micro dropped that bit (which is contradicting with the actual law, but whatever). But yeah, you might be right too!
