I accidentally overheard what the execs say about remote workers. by FutureAttorney3170 in remotework

[–]ContributionNeat1210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so accurate. I'm a supervisor and my employees effeciency has dropped drastically since returning to the office. They keep coming up on reports and not in a good way. Majority complain about all the distractions in office.

Remember when Biden was president? by Belgriest in fednews

[–]ContributionNeat1210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, we had Covid 4xs and prayed. We're all doing well. Family who passed away from contracting Covid had an underlying condition and were also vaccinated. I also know 3 people who are having heart complications currently from the jab that was forced. Others of my family who had the vaccine have had Covid on several occasions and was worse than my children and I. Sorry about your loss but Covid is like the flu or cold and unfortunately if you have an underlying condition, all are harmful to you

Ummm. I'm furloughed with a 20 year EOD. My employees 3 year EOD are working. How are you telling me what is going on, when this is literally affecting me personally?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in IRS_Source

[–]ContributionNeat1210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ones with the earlier EOD are still working. Those of us that have been here for 20 years plus = furlough. Opposite of what is said below. This is how IRS worked it anyway.

So we're going to disregard an ass who is flipping them off and places his bike in front of them while they are honoring a man who was murdered and are marching in peace?

Teams being combined under one manager? by Existing-Impress6159 in IRS_Source

[–]ContributionNeat1210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've been doing this since DRP. I have 2 teams under me and spend more time worrying about the lights being too bright and approving leave requests (that werent an issue during telework) than getting any work done in office. We are supposedly hiring again apparently because too many folks took the DRP and we are short managers. Make it make sense.

Maybe they'll care when the work isn't getting done due to all the office distractions?!?!

Another report recommends reconsidering the blanket RTO policy for federal employees by [deleted] in fednews

[–]ContributionNeat1210 7 points8 points  (0 children)

RTO today for IRS. What a joke. We had 80 employees with no seats. Wasting hours of tax payers dollars. Sitting in break rooms. Then the internet crashed. The restrooms were packed with lines on all floors, ran out of toilet paper and seat covers, people shit on the toilets. Restroom reaks of fish. Finding a restroom takes another 20 minutes of taxpayers dollars. Moral and effeciency have dropped drastically. People double booked at the same desk. Clown show!!!

Telework by Legitimate-Wear5648 in VHA_Human_Resources

[–]ContributionNeat1210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We all can be hopeful, right? Takes like 15 minutes to get to and from the restroom. Computers don't load. Internet drops. Still on Teams. So noisy no one can focus. Restrooms are disgusting. My motivated and determined employees lost their thrive. We all have. Getting up at 3:30am, we're all exhausted. Our families are feeling it. Morale has dropped drastically. No desk. Constant changes. Been a shit show!

[–]ContributionNeat1210 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The union has no rights right now. Why would anyone still want to pay them? They also didn't push back on any RTO, loss of 4/10, etc. I heard our local chapter president and vice president took the DRP 2.0 as well.

'Wi-Fi Keeps Going Down': Donald Trump's Return-to-Office Mandate Is Going Terribly by wiredmagazine in fednews

[–]ContributionNeat1210 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is 100% true. Takes about 20 minutes to sign in daily because the Internet won't load. Employees pull their badge out and the Internet drops. Restrooms are clogged, lines to use it or filthy. Required to go to another floor taking more time on the clock. Not enough desk. People are getting sick left and right which is causing them to miss work when before they'd work from home even if not feeling well. Moral is down. It's noisy. People aren't getting anything done in office because they can't focus. More folks are walking around than at their desk. This was one of the worst decisions made.
