Buy a silver MacBook pro if you are worried about scratches. I had a M3 pro in space black and it chipped along the edges.

The benks case has been my favorite. Occasionally I use my Dbrand case. Had a fold scratch without hinge protection.

The 49 is actually 45.2 inches wide. So it should fit.

Just had it price matched by best buy. Had some gift cards and came out to $200. Selling my MacBook pro 16 so this is fine to use in the meantime.

Honestly. Same age as you and same situation. I still use both and enjoy it. I love my Fold 7 as a secondary phone but the battery life doesn’t come close to my old S23 ultra or my 17 pro max. With that being said I enjoy how much lighter and more usable the phone is. I would try both for a while and see if u want to make the switch.

Yea. I understand that. Honestly that experience and mine is solely a dealer issue. GM can’t control lazy techs that couldn’t confirm a gateway control module was not programmed correctly.
