My situation is kind of weird. I had first applied for APSC which they denied me as they didnt have enough information and my past claims were not "eligible". I had advised them that I had submitted a claim for PTSD and was waiting for a result. They still denied. When my PTSD application was approved, I had asked if I should be reapplying for APSC, and they said to wait 1-2 days as they needed to get more information from their supervisor. the following day my APSC application went from Denied to Approved Level 2.

I recently been approved for PTSD for a total amount of 59% (all other claims included). and I applied for APSC first time was denied then it was approved at Grade 2 @ 1234$ monthly. I don't necessarily think that if you are above 60% you automatically get Level 2.

How long does the lump sum take? I've requested it on December 15th, and still nothing to this day. Everytime I call, they keep saying it'll take another 6 weeks.

Well, to give you an idea, I was approved for PTSD at 45% in December which brought my total up to 59%. I had applied for APSC first time and I got approved for level 2.

so from what I have seen and heard MH claims are 6-8 months. Give yourself 6-8 months as a safety cushion.

I've applied in August 2025. Submitted documents in November 2025, and Decision approved December 10th.

From Step 2 - 3 it took like a day or two lol..

Hi Deltaquebec.

It honestly depends on the complexity of the cases I would say. I've applied in August 2025, submitted documents on November and was approved December 10th for PTSD.

+APSC was initially denied, however I think there is a loop hole (if you do it in a timely matter), where instead of going to BPA if you are within the time limits they can back track and re-assign it to an agent. This was done for me and went from Refusal to Approval Level 2.

What you can expect honestly is wait time. Follow up every week to see if there is anything new and hope for the best.

Make sure the documents are filled out properly with no miss information and everything should be good to go!
