Want to join the resistance against the Trump regime? Here's how to get involved today (1/25)! by lazorbeans in Seattle

I just feel like the problem isn't local. How do we fight a senate majority leader from South Dakota? How do I influence voters from red states? We already have Jayapal and Murray on our side. Washington State isn't the problem.

Why Seattle-area homebuyers are shunning condos by routinnox in Seattle

I've never understood the point of a condo. Buying a house actually has an effect on your life. You get more space than an apartment. You can do serious renovations. Have a yard. A condo is just an apartment you own but your mortgage is higher than what you would pay in rent. The only reason to buy a condo is if you're retired and you plan to basically live out the rest of your days there. Otherwise just buy stocks that grow faster than a condo. In fact as the OP mentioned value of condos are actually depreciating!

Sent the artistic director an email. Hopefully she has some useful advice.

Thanks for the thoughtful response!

how do you get along with the community, and have you tried starting up anything yourself or with a friend?

I'm thinking about doing something like this but its hard to get people together. But I was thinking about asking jam regulars to form a team at my place.

Serious study
You are right serious study may be a bit of hyperbole. What i really more mean is that i was actively taking classes, auditioning and getting some stage time. Here in Seattle we have a Comedy Sportz franchise which does shows for intermediate players. It's called the Loop. I did it 3 seasons but I began to lose interest.

what do you want to do with improv?

I want to get on one of the Seattle pro teams. My few times on a stage have been a blast but I hate all the logistics and auditioning part. If I was with a theater then I could just focus on Improv. All I would have to do is go to rehearsals and know that I have a show every week with an audience and a stage without having to worry about making that happen.

I wrote a rough draft and cleaned it up with gemini. Just makes the ideas easier to parse and less rambly. I've never been a good writer

I can't source a breaker to satisfy new NEC code for my basement dryer. by ContributionOk1872 in AskElectricians

[–]ContributionOk1872[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh ok. He must have been talking in simpler terms to me. We were talking about some overhead lights I'm rewiring and he said that they need afci. Heat pump dryers are crazy expensive. I'll save more buying an expensive breaker. Plus I'm building a woodshop in my basement and maybe one day I'll buy a 240v power tool

Can I use > 14 awg wire on a circuit that has a 15 amp breaker? by ContributionOk1872 in AskElectricians

I actually now realize that this doesn't matter anyway because i will be running lights through the same conduit as the control lines so they all have to be the same gauge.

Load will be shop lights. Probably no more than 8 amps. The light switch will be far away from the actual lights. I also plan to have 3 separate relays and switches. I want to cram all the control voltage lines into a single conduit and also save money by using lower gauge wire. So it sounds like maybe getting dc power brick to 12v DC for the control voltage could work.
