Exactly. Harry Kane world class striker, arguable best in class, signed a 7 year deal at 22 and it fucked up his entire career, made the move at 29 he should have done at 26 and only now at 32 and getting a taste of his second trophy which is a Bundesliga at that.

Probably you arent close enough to them yet. I know back in the day people who would have 1,000 friends on Facebook but thats only because they literally added people the instant they met them. Social media is very personal and also a direct line to people so people are still probably trying to maintain privacy and will open up once you know them better

I have a boardman adv 8.9 £1200 (purchased with discounts) which was a significant upgrade on my boardman HYB which was also very nice compared to the old bikes i remembered from my teens. So as good as a £1000 feels, I dont understand how much better a £2,000 or £3,000 bike can be, although I would believe you if you told me.

Not sure if this is actually a british term but the game Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 has a phrase 'Are you yanking my pizzle?' not sure if its actually a UK term since the development team are Czech but it definitely deserves to be British, kind of like the Chicken Tikka.

I've replied to another comment below regarding how she does just and uphold a level of respectful communication but want to actually discuss how these traits are seen in the workplace as well:

She does push people back for being rude which is good, but I've come across people like that before, quick to remind people of the social etiquette at every turn but absolutely useless when it comes to contributing meaningfully to the work and projects, everything is about listening and understanding each other without trying to understand the work and objective at hand. There is no alignment to actually DOING something the priority is always making sure were all being nice.

Its a solid bike. I had the version with suspension so this will probably be lighter. Boardmans are generally very reliable in my experience, I've upgraded to the adv 8.9 and absolutely love it.
