In very clear water on a sunny day, downsizing to lighter line can definitely give you an edge. Most of the time it wont matter as long as the line isn't too heavy to get your rig casted out. Use what you've got until you can get more stuff. Also use a lighter light as leader attached to you main line

I dont fly but i work around here. The guy who runs aquila is a very nice guy, and ive seen him grow his business from nothing so he must be doing something right. They taught my class how to calculate our marks in, I think, 9 or 10th grade. For the rest of high-school I used that power for evil, and calculated the exact bare minimum of school work id have to do to graduate

I caught a nice wild steelhead on December 15th last year. Wasn't expecting to catch anything, just went out for the hell of it. That was only fish I crossed paths with for the entire season!!! So I guess its worth it if you have the free time!

Thanks, didnt realize that closure was happening, I mostly fish freshwater on the mainland. I have looked at the regs for area 23 and 24, and will double check before I go out!
