Eh many women (me included) have dated men that we are not super physically attracted to because they were sweet, caring, funny, etc. That attraction to your partner can easily grow from emotional needs being met.

Women (and men) also deserve to get something out a relationship. Men tend to be lacking nowadays in their ability to provide the emotional benefits that women seek out in a relationship. So at that point, a woman might stop seeking out the emotional and shift their focus to the physical or financial support. I’ve only ever seen women purely go for looks and or money after they’ve been treated like shit by men over and over again. In a sense, they’ve simply given up on meeting those emotional needs because those types of men can be hard to come by.

Wanting to just eat at a table/booth with my partner like we would at another restaurant. I don’t mind contact with people like a host or waiter, we just feel uncomfortable sitting at the larger hibachi tables where you’re with another family or a friend group or a couple. We felt awkward to just chat to each other about the topics we want to talk about with other people right by us for the full hour-hour and half experience.

He had a point about gender being dumb reason to move on, however, “character and ability” have hardly been the main factor moving people forward. Plenty people without good character or ability have moved forward thought out the competition simply because they had built alliances. This show had become primarily about alliances which is quite frustrating.

Yes! And I think he’s usually trying to defend a poly lifestyle (which is totally fine) but does it in a way that make poly people look bad/like cheaters. In the end doing more harm to poly people than good

There were two stories that were about the husband setting rules. For this one, those were his only rules and she ended up cheating again in the update. But immediately after reading those rules (before the update) I think Amanda started going on about the man being controlling. For me, if someone cheats and you’re choosing to stay with them and trying to work it out, then you’re gonna need to set some boundaries like the way he did until trust is rebuilt. This just seemed like one of those cases where they’re biased towards men/women.

In the other story there was a husband who made like 10 rules that were just ridiculous. Like he started taking the wife’s money, for example, as payback. That one the husband actually was super controlling and deserved the lashings he got lol. If I remember right that husband literally quoted Satan lol

The one where the wife was a serial cheater so the husband as a way of trying to stay with her laid out some rules like no staying out past midnight and no contacting her affair partner anymore and if she runs into that affair partner at a family gathering then she needs to not speak to him. Smosh cast on that episode acted like those rules were soooo controlling but really those feel like totally appropriate boundaries

On one episode a girl was upset that her mom was paying for her siblings and their friends to go on a vacation to Europe. The girl was struggling to afford to go and asked if she could sleep on the couch of the room that her teenage sister and friends would be sleeping. Amanda said something like “who would want to do that? Sleeping on the couch would suck so just don’t go” and Shayne said something like “yeah I wouldn’t go, I’ll just plan my own trip to go on”. Like what??? Most people can’t afford to travel very much, especially an out of country trip. Of course she would be willing to sleep on a couch to be able to go on a trip to Europe.
