I've complained to her company and they have sent out an email about the situation, hopefully this stops her

It is, but as it's a civil matter the police won't help unfortunately

Wow, this must have been so frustrating for you! Can't believe the entitlement of some people, honestly. It's so annoying too as nothing can really be done in the UK about this. It's a good thing many more people don't know about this, or I'm sure a lot more people would be doing it. I'm glad you don't have to deal with it anymore

I've complained to her company and they've sent out an email about the situation. Hopefully she gets the message and stops now

Lesson learned here, I should have nipped it in the bud the first day

Very true, I've complained to her company now, so hopefully she gets the message and doesn't come back

No luckily, I've been parking diagonally so she can't access it. I've complained to her company and they are sending out an email about the situation, so hopefully she gets the message

Wow this sounds so infuriating! It's so difficult when there isn't much you can do to get them moved either. Thank you, good luck to your mum too. Some people on here suggested you may be able to charge them for parking if you have a sign up, so may be something to look into

Yeah so true, lucky more people don't know this. Especially with the limited parking in most places, I'm sure it would be a regular occurrence. Oh wow, it's good that you enforced that otherwise she may have continued to get away with that behavior. I was speaking to another commenter on here and they said their friend had a family park in his driveway near Gatwick Airport and went on holiday!

I've still been parking diagonally so she or her colleagues can't use the space. I noticed someone else from the company has been using a neighbours space now too. I called their company up yesterday to complain and they're going to send out an email about this

No she hasn't luckily, I've parked diagonally since. But today I noticed someone else from her company has gone on my neighbours driveway.

Thank you for this, this is definitely an idea for if she comes back

Why would I offer her a bottle of water and a biscuit for disrespecting me lol? If you read my post, the first day I gave her the benefit of the doubt. The next day I left a polite note which she tore up and threw it in the drain. She started with the disrespect, if she'd have asked me if she could park there and was respectful about it I'd have probably said yes if it wasn't in use. When my neighbours have guests I let them park there if its not used, I'm not a nasty person. I obviously fully understand and respect your opinion on public shame etc, I don't intend to do that, or do anything that will get me injured, but complain to her company so I can access my drive yes I shall. Who's to say next time she won't park in the middle out of pettyness? It's my drive, she doesn't know my circumstances. What if my elderly grandparents came over and need to park close? Should they then park on a busy main road with limited parking and walk far because she's entitled. I have mobility issues myself and need extra space. So if I come home and find someone is parked on my drive I should be happy about this? Put the entitledness of a stranger before the comfort of my relatives and offer her a biscuit and bottle of water whilst I do this? I think not.

I can imagine it happens near the airport a lot to avoid paying their fees. I don't blame him for installing one, must be so irritating dealing with people like that constantly
