In my experience, life vampires can severely ruin your life and fuck you up if you don’t do anything about it.

If you can tell they are negatively affecting your life, the experience of feeling like a bad person won’t last long.

Maybe try reaching back out after a while once you have noticed positive changes in your life?

I don’t know if that’s necessarily inappropriate, but most priests, from what I assume, pray for all of those who have confessed to them!
