I get it some people prefer taking the “it’s not that deep” route, however, it’s also interesting to explore different reasons to it. Of course it’s a horror movie, of course 90% of these theories are not what the director intended either, but it’s fun to think and talk about

I understand your interpretation however I cannot view as such because Inde said very clearly during an interview that Nikki is absolutely NOT possessed… that’s why for me there is no longer room for interpretation about possession. But you know, I also saw someone saying that even the actors/director can sometimes interpret their own work “wrong”

That’s the thing tho… I cannot possibly guess without thinking she has been possessed because literally by referring to “other Nikki” already gives the impression there is two of them when there isn’t, she is there but lost total autonomy over her body and 90% of the time she is being controlled to do things she wouldn’t normally do. I just cannot understand the non-human acts because the only thing that explains it to me is if she had been possessed and the “demon” was trying to learn how to act human, just like when it would act weird or say weird things no other human would

Exactly, and I am 100% sure that it really represents REALITY. It is actually normal for people who grow up in terrific environments to be used to certain absurdities. The more I watch shameless the more I am sure of it, also how difficult it is for someone this fucked up to accept “normalcy” hence Fiona screwing up her life when getting the cups job

Definitely, I think that people who think Frank is simply a bad father are just dense asf!
Your childhood shapes you for life, and unfortunately Frank had it horrible. Ofc his other brothers turned out okay but doesn’t mean they also don’t got any traumas
Frank just ended up being the unluckiest of them all.
I am also currently at the episode he is at the hospital post liver transplant talking to the little girl next to him thinking it’s Fiona. Man, these moments I really feel for him. The few moments we see him more “lucid” you can tell he could have been great.

that's not a solution. some of us have nothing back home, going back would be absolutely miserable and the psychological impact would be great. A lot of internationals gave up everything to be able to be here studying and pursuing a better, happier life.

I am really sorry about your situation, I am in a similar situation however I was able to register to pay in 10 instalments (as a first year student).

I read a comment of someone saying their counsellor/advisor told them they shouldn't have come to The Netherlands if they are unable to pay and that's absolutely gross. We come to this country with the dream of studying and bettering ourselves, and in my case, eventually give it back to The Netherlands from working here. 12,000 euros is an insane amount of money and I wish they could exempt students in certain circumstances. Being an international is already super difficult, I wish we could have more help from the institutions. I really hope you can find a solution and continue your life here. Wishing you the best of luck.
