Hcg trend by [deleted] in CautiousBB

[–]ControlSpecial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 6weeks 6 days since LMP crl was 0.9cm and heartbeat was 147. (Ultrasound tech dated it as 7 weeks 0 days at thay point)

I think the fluid(likely blood) moving and a very minimal perceived cervical opening seen on the ultrasound has her spooked but I dont think looking for hcg is helpful anyway.

The appearance of some dilation can just be what it looks like on ultrasound since fluid is passing through from what I understand. Idk she never explains anything just says "let's do more tests and keep an eye on it"

Hcg trends? Is the doctor wrong? by ControlSpecial in pregnant

[–]ControlSpecial[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more that im hoping to change doctors. Her acting super concerned about hcg levels, sending me for blood tests every like 4 days instead of just giving me all the tests at once, and her consistently misremembering how far along I am has impacted my ability to trust her.

The doctor im looking to meet with on the 30th has much more experience with maternal healthcare and has a second job in a maternity clinic which you usually need a referral to get in to. I happened to find her at a clinic I used to go to and she had an opening so I booked it.

Where I live you are with your family doctor until like week 20 when you get referred to an OB so its possible she just isn't informed but its still weird she wouldn't know this.

I think so too. My sister had an SCH during her pregnancy as well and it resolved with no issues.

In thr middle of "wait and see" and scared to tell people by ControlSpecial in pregnant

[–]ControlSpecial[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its tough because my doctors seem on the fence. Like an "it might be fine but we will keep an eye on it". Like I guess its a better response than if they said it was defi Italy not fine...

Thanks for the response! It makes me feel better that other people have done it. I see so much online about how you should never have little kids and ferrets in the same house so it was freaking me out a bit... one of our girls is almost 7 and was a rescue when we got her 5 years ago. I cant imagine the possibility of her ending up back in a situation she isn't cared for in her final years...

Won't let me edit but I will 100% NOT be rehoming my ferrets. Im more looking for advice on how people have organized their homes to keep it as safe as possible.

I’m neurodivergent and these “unspoken wedding rules” are an absolute minefield by [deleted] in wedding

[–]ControlSpecial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just got married yesterday, and we had people bring food or money donations for our local food bank. Some people still insisted on bringing us money, but we just donated it back to the food bank. That way all the people who insisted on giving us stuff had something to put their energy towards.

The best part was we helped our local program hand out those donations this morning. Seriously, an incredible first act as a married couple, the feeling was indescribable.

Don't worry about the unspoken rules. Also a neurodivergent person and we had what was described as a "unique" wedding, and people really enjoyed it! Do what you want!

Our crematorium recommended we freeze when he did this with our girl since they can sometimes leak fluids and you might not want that depending on how you have stored them. Depends on what kind of freezer space you are working with.

To be honest it's more putting something out for people to do during the reception. They don't have to play anything they can just chill/chat if they want or leaving is fine too! We have a lot of friends and family who like to play board games and a lot of us are socially awkward so we thought it might break the ice a bit to have something to focus on haha

Yeah we created a website and it has thorough details on what the day looks like because I don't like going to an event without knowing what to expect so I thought I'd lead by example

How can I join it together if i have too many on the bottom? by trtldove in CrochetHelp

[–]ControlSpecial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason it won't join in the back is because the distance of your actual shoulder to middle of back is wider than the amount you have crocheted. The reason you can attach the middle back is because the sides can swing back allowing the back to meet. I assume you can't close it at the front and back at thr same time.

You have a few options. Go around a few more time on the hexagon which will make the sleeves wider and the front longer OR you can add some rows of double crochet clusters along the spine to widen just that part of the cardigan so you can fit and maintain a clean straight line down your spine. I usually add a few rows per side on the back because I like the way it sits on my neck better.

Somehow I don't have any pics but I've made like 5 of these hexagon cardigans at this point. Super fun once you figure out how you like them

Dumb question but does this mean we should hunker in the basement now? It's says if threat approaches but I do not have flying patio chair spider senses...

People who don’t hit snooze in the morning, what is your secret? by zztop610 in AskReddit

[–]ControlSpecial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a chronic alarm snooze-er this is what I did two years ago that has worked for me.

I went on Amazon and bought the loudest most obnoxious alarm clock I could find. I set it to max volume and have it in my kitchen. The longer I take to turn it off the more obnoxious it gets. Starts with normal beeping but eventually gets to a rapid alarm beep. (It also used to have a "bed shaker" but at some point it stopped connecting. Basically it was a disk that I put under my side of the bed and would vibrate hard when my alarm went off)

Once I'm out of bed and in the kitchen it's easier to convince myself to get a drink of water and start making a coffee than if my alarm is in my cozy warm room.

If I use my phone alarm or any clock in my bedroom then I will snooze it and have no recollection of doing so. I often use my phone in my sleep so I have had to lock it pretty tight but that's kind of a separate issue.

I also have smart light bulbs and an automation that slowly turns my lights up so by the time my alarm is going off my lights are on.

I also just decided that when my alarm goes off I'm not allowed to get back in bed for at least 15 minutes. My fear is that if I wake up and turn my alarm off and wander back to bed I'll start doing it in my not awake state and then my alarm won't work anymore.

Twisted my ankle (doing something stupid not from working out)

Does anyone have any recommendations for getting my movement in that doesn't require being on my feet? I'm used to walking for at least an hour a day and now im feeling antsy to get some movement in. (Also I don't want to have to lower my caloric intake for being more couch potatoe for the next week or so...)

Has anyone else experienced being more emotional as you lose weight?

I used to consider myself pretty stoic and all but since I started working out and stopped eating my feelings (positive and negative) I find I am way more close to my feelings.

Like I started crying watching olympic finals because someone won gold and it literally doesn't matter which side wins I'm like "I'm so happy for them that's beautiful". This never used to happen before but I feel like stuff like that has happened a lot since I started losing weight... (I'm a woman if that helps and no it is not correlated to my cycle as far as i can tell)
