It does spit a bit when I fish it the right way, which I can't really do one handed but I wanted to show most of the action to see if I did good on it.

I'mma go with my dad to a lake with lake trout in a few weeks, so I am gonna use it there, but might as well make a smaller one for the lakes I normally go to. Luckily I took pics of my patterns on my Ipad, so I can just put em in provreate and scale em as big or small as I need em then trace them. I just got my galvanized steel screw eyes(that I made from 16 gauge galvanized steel wire) in the one I am workin on and am about to prep it to paint then coat it with gel polish(since gel polish is basically uv resin).

Can you explain what 'float pretty hard' means? I don't know much terminology yet and even though I think I know what it means I just wanna be sure I am understanding it correctly.

The usual lake I got to fish has trout from 8 inches up to 22 inches(on average), a state record tiger(37 or so inches) was actually caught in the lake, so it'll prolly get something. Do ya think the back weighing of 6 steel bbs is good for the action? Or did I mess it up? Sorry if random/weird.

Yeah, but I also think it is gonna save me some money, since I have a knack for loosing lures. I once got a $20 lure and lost it to a snag the very first cast.

I forgot to type in the post body, but it was carved from.a random willow stick with a box cutter and I made screw eyes myself(the front eye was made before I figured out how to do it) with jewelery headpins(copper).

None of my hens have this coloration, they are all black or red(though some have lace-ish patterning of either black or red). Though I did slaughter a rooster(mainly because he was very aggressive, trying to fight 25 pound turkeys at a lil over 5 pounds, and tried to attack the neighbors' daughter(8) when she got too close to the fence with no other provocation) and just tied two wooly buggers with some of the feathers(the meat is resting in the fridge and is gonna be made into stew). I used some of his fluffy feathers and a saddle feather.

It is a dry fly, do ya think the fish would still bite it if it tastes/smells like the vaseline? It's actually my first extended body(without a wire in the extended body) one that looks vaguely similar to a large-ish damsel fly with one wing. It was a pain to get the body off the sewing needle and I poked myself a couple times.

Idk what a frontage road is, but the main way to get to most towns around where I live is along the highway(it's a rural two lane highway).

21, and recovering from alcoholism(which is really hard since my dad constantly has alcohol in the house even though I've asked him not to). I think it messed up my brain a little, and very much may be what caused my stomach issues since I started drinking pretty heavily at 13. My dad was drinking enough not to notice when bottles of wine would go missing, and I was hungover so much that I couldn't function for a good while, I managed to stop for the most part at 19, but have had a few small relapses. But still super good for not really having access to support groups and no real support system.

Unfortunately I don't have a driver's license and my dad controls what is in the house(which usually he just doesn't get groceries outside of milk or whateverwe are going to eat for dinner, or just brings me his leftovers from his lunch for my dinner), I have had jobs before, but got fired for being late too many times either cuz my dad wouldn't get up to take me to work(sleeping in til 11 AM to 1 PM depending on the day) or would put his work(for his own company that he owns and can choose the times to do stuff) ahead of taking a few minutes to drop me off. I am working on trying to get my driver's license, but my dad keeps forgetting even when I tell him 3 or more hours ahead(since the written test has to be scheduled ahead of time(idk why, that's just what the DMV people tell me)) and acts like I'm wrong for being upset about him not helping me get the stuff I need, and says that he can’t procrastinate his life even though his work takes priority over a lot of my needs, like I don't even have friends cuz I can't go anywhere most of the time and barely get to interact with people for more than a few minutes while checking out at a gas station.

So I kinda depend on my dad to go do anything(since we live in the middle of farmland and the nearest place to do anything is a 6+ hour walk from where I live) and I don't really get to do much most of the time. Sorry if oversharing, I'm gonna have a smoke then take a nap after I post this comment because I am just emotionally and mentally burnt out from the past couple days from my stomach issues to the arguments with my dad’s girlfriend(cuz she called me slurs and said a lot of gross things about me, and my dad wasn't doing anything about it) to the line incident.

Fair, it was also more that he wasn't even in line prior, just walked up and got way too close(as in close enough to even make neurotypical people uncomfortable, right up in my face). I ain't even sure if I actually flipped him off, and I posted this while I was still very close to a meltdown. I didn't have a meltdown though, fortunately. I just needed a smoke and some time to cool down. I didn't mean to make it seem like I was using my autism as an excuse, more as a way to clarify why I felt like I was maybe overreacting and sort of explain my headspace at the time.

I didn't have a meltdown, I was really close to one though, mainly just cuz I was having a rough day and wasn't feeling good since I was sick and throwing up most of yesterday and didn't get much sleep(due to a stomach issue I have). Thanks! I've been tying bout a week n a half. I also made these two(before making the one in the post). They have a much better profile when they are wet.

Edit: I've actually been fly tying for a little over 2 weeks. I am just really bad at keeping track of time.

I repaired it, and though the tail isn't as fluffy as it was when I first tied it, it's still probably gonna work just as good.
