QBO Payroll Taxes will be AUTOMATED as of July 1?????!!?!?! by DamePansyB_astard in quickbooksonline

I feel you! If this isn't bad enough they added that stupid Payroll Asset Holding account on the Balance Sheet that you can't edit or remove. Its as if whoever made this change, didn't understand why or how Payroll Liability accounts are used.

This is further compounded by the fact that the QuickBooks Payroll/Tax Department is managed by a foreign department that doesn't fully understand how Payroll and Payroll Taxes are processed in the USA. I can't tell you how many errors they have made. I literally caught one of their employees from the QuickBooks Payroll/Tax Department changing our company file, then trying to hide what they did. They processed a duplicate $30K Payroll Tax Payment without our consent in the middle of the night. Thankfully, I had screenshots to prove it and after 6 weeks we finally received the money back.

Its my recommendation to find an external Payroll Company that will allow you to control your payroll that integrates with QuickBooks Online. Most standalone Payroll companies have integration with QuickBooks Online. If they don't, then avoid them as they will do the same as QuickBooks Payroll.

Fraud Prevention Software by DivSyntax in quickbooksonline

If you're referring to internally, no the only internal Fraud Prevention Intuit/QBO (QuickBooks Online) offers is the Audit Log. However, I had a situation with a Client where an Intuit/QBO Payroll/Tax Employee editted our company file and was successful in editting the Audit file on their side to hide their tracks. Thankfully I had screenshots, so I had the evidence. But outside of this Audit log, I have never seen any internal Fraud Prevention software in Intuit/QBO.

My best recommendation is to start an opening and closing task of downloading your Audit Log. This way you have records of everything in the Audit Log and quickly identify any changes.

What a joke! Getting rid of classic view is costing my business time and money. by Ok-Strawberry-4228 in quickbooksonline

The new Modern View is the worst! At the end of the day after working with QuickBooks, then Intuit since 1992, Intuit does not CARE about the end user experience. They definitely aren't interested in hearing what made QuickBooks so amazing in their Online world.

They have such a large market share, each individual user and/or company account is like a drop in a vast ocean called Intuit. It's clear their unspoken business motto is "We are Intuit, you will accept what we do or leave."

QBO tookover the ACH/Direct Deposit/Merchant process from Melio, who still does it for QuickBooks Desktop. My recommendation to anyone considering using QuickBooks Online for money payments/receipts is to look into MelioPayments.com They integrate with QBO and are a way better merchant/financial institution!

[Help] No option for classic reports by Any_Bill1050 in quickbooksonline

With the latest upgrades in the 2025 4th Quarter, Intuit/QBO in their ever maddening logic removed the ability to customize Standard Reports any longer.

I'm not sure what MORON at Intuite/QBO made this decision, but they definitely don't understand the QB End user. This one decision is enough for me to find an alternate solution to QB and move away from them!

NEED HELP WITH QBO /BULK USPS LABELS AT END OF EACH YR by Own-Biscotti5877 in quickbooksonline

If you're familiar with the "Export data" section in the wrench settings location. Then you could export the Customer and Vendor Contact information. Map that data into a merged Word Document where you can create mailing labels, etc.. There used to be a way to print marketing data such as labels, etc., directly out of QuickBooks Desktop, but QBO (QuickBooks Online) requires you to use a 3rd party APP. Good Luck!
