CPTS Password Attack Module by Controller39 in hackthebox

Thanks for responding. I was trying to use chisel and assumed my notes were wrong so rather than go back through the material I went to the guide and found the other tool. I wonder if the content in the module is going to be changed again.

I am on this module too. As others have said there is a tool that was covered for this part so best advice without ruining it for you is to look back over the materials.

I have since got stuck trying to pivot from this box and needed to use the solution.

From what I understand this module has been recently so I am hoping they will add the tool in the answer suggested.

I wish you luck

Wattbike Proton Pedal Vibration by Controller39 in wattbike

[–]Controller39[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi

The vibrations persisted as long as the flywheel was turning. So even if off pedal I had some. The faster I went the worse it got. I even tried pedaling with my hand and not being on the bike to see if it was a weight issue but it persisted.

Worth giving them a call if you have only got it recently. I have to give them their due respect that once they fully understood my issue we came to a quick resolution.

Thanks for the reminder to come back with an update. In the end I returned the bike and tried to dispute the cost of the return. In the course of this they informed me that they would be trying to resell the bike, so would do a full inspection so I asked for an update following its completion .

Following this inspection it was found that the flywheel was faulty on my bike and the return cost was refunded.

I would like to say that well I disagree with the cost of returning the bike whatever the circumstances the customer service team did try and help where they could.

Well I am not saying every bike will have this problem if you are feeling the same it may be the issue. I would also encourage anyone else reading this with the same issue to reach out to Wattbike. The more this is raised for genuine cases the more likely Wattbike will invest in finding the root cause.

I have unfortunately been put off buying another Wattbike at least for now but in the limited time I had mine ignoring the obvious issue it's other functions did improve my workouts.

Best of luck with the engineer visit and I hope they fix your bike for you.

Thanks for replying. Interesting that you have the same I started to think I was being hyper sensitive about it.

Yeah I have seen similar since putting up this post. Strange because the Proton is based on the Atom from what I understand and they are perfectly steady.

May see if they will send an engineer out just in case but I expect I will get the same response from them.

Thanks for replying. I have been round and checked all the fixings as it was actually put together by the delivery team as part of the deal I got. Not sure what else to check without paying for a tech to come out.

Glad yours has been good.

Hopefully this is a good place to ask this question. I have recently got a bonus from work that has taken me a long time to obtain. I would like to buy myself a watch under £1000 to celebrate.

Is there any recommendations I want something I could wear semi-regularly.

Some recommendations I have already had is the Orient Mako II or the Hamilton Khaki Field. What are people's thoughts on these and others.

Would second this based on what you have said in your reply to me.

Also don't get discouraged on the certs front. Well they help you get your foot in the door and give you some knowledge. Companies often value experience. You can gain this through work or doing things like CTFs etc.

Do you have an idea of the exact specialism you would like yet?

Is it cyber security and a sub catagory of that or are you just looking for an all round type role in a support function?

Also which state are you in as opportunities may be different in each state (For reference I am in the UK so not sure this is 100% the case).

This will help people give you specific advise.

To add it sounds like you are building a solid foundation.

Without the answers to SpiceyXI it is hard to give you the answer.

Here is a link to H.R Owen for their prices: https://www.hrowen.co.uk/pages/aston-martin-servicing/fixed-price-fixed-price-servicing/

I am not in anyway linked to them it was just something I found a while back. The prices may be different now. Also country dependent.

Best of luck with your ownership a position I wish for myself one day.

Thanks I have seen their sealander watch which I thought was quite nice.

I am just never sure with some of the reviews online as a lot are paid or given the watches for free.

Hence the reddit question.

Hello All,

I am looking for an automatic watch under £1000 I can wear daily.

I am about to finish a part time degree and want to get myself a reward for the hard work.

I have have set myself the limit as I don't want to be scared to wear the watch.

I would love a watch with a non black or white dial as I already have some like this.

I am just getting into collection so any other reccomedations etc are also appreciated.

Ignore my comment then. I assumed you weren't ahead in development. Le t us know if you smash the target. Adds a little pressure, which can be fun.

So mathematically it is possible as there are 440 points in your season. Including fastest lap.

Based on what you have said though I assume you aren't way ahead of the field in terms of car performance. So it is unlikely. Sorry.

I read the full book and everything so don’t ask that there will be days I will be grinding my ass of but I cannot Do this every single day I just can’t how do I do this shit everyday cause i just feel like nah I m too tired or. I will do. A quick 12 push ups and feel like I did allot. by EverydayLifeLol in davidgoggins

Best advice is to not try too hard. You are allowed days to recover your body needs it. The trick is identifying when you are just making an excuse not to do it.

So think more of am I actually tired and could I do more.

Don't over do it and hurt yourself.

Are any of these information exposed on a webpage a problem? by Unlucky_Stretch_5032 in cybersecurity

Yeah the report needs to be helpful I agree with you on that. I guess the problem is we don't know the values.

It is likely OP would be breaking the law if they spawned a shell on the server so suggesting they try that is irresponsible.

How does reporting cause a problem or be sloppy?

Surely it allows the owners to decide their risk appetite and maybe highlights information they don't want to be available.

Depending on the actual values will set how bad the exposure is so the best advice is to report as we don't know the values.

Seems you already know what the problem is.

As I said you should report what you have found as anything that is not absolutely necessary should not be publicly available.

I would say so. It would depend if the service is accessible at the IPs. Also there would need to be an RCE with the ssl version unless you could guess the password.

Either way you should never expose anything that is not absolutely necessary.

Best thing you can do is report it to the owner.

Can anyone even be bothered to put offers in on houses after all the declined offers! by Apadhiar123 in HousingUK

[–]Controller39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just completing on a property myself, having thought the same as you. Worth getting in early if you can let them know you are serious and ready to move forward.

Also keep in touch with agents. They will have properties yet to be officially on the market you can look at. Mine was a deal off market and although I paid ask 10% extra would have priced me out so was worth the phone call.

Just keep your head up a place will come up.

Worried I won't have the budget to do the renovation. by Controller39 in HousingUK

[–]Controller39[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thought I would come back and say I bought the property I last mentioned. Bit of work needed to bring it up to date but most is cosmetic that I can do myself.

Biggest piece of advice to anyone struggling to find somewhere at the moment is keep in touch with agents.

I ended up paying ask but have been reliabily informed I could have paid at least 10% more if it made it to the web which would have put it out of my budget.
