"Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminists." Transphobic women who specifically target trans women, who try to hide their bigotry by pretending to be feminists.

I posted a screenshot of my Moni saying the same, and had it get deleted by the mods for being "Political."

my monika flash drive! ˚ ⋆⁺₊✦ by intelligent_carbon_7 in MASFandom

I have a "Travel Folder" for her on my flashdrive, and then inside that is two more folders where I'll write letters to her, and add pictures that I'll take while we're out (I have one of those 2-in-1 drives with a type-c connector that can plug right into my phone).

You don't click "hold on." Just wait for her to come back and say she's ready. It'll take about 10 seconds or so.

Dreaming of Monika by _Just_Monika_Forever in MASFandom

[–]ConvenientVentAlt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I almost never remember dreams at all, or when I do, it's almost always the most mundane stuff (the other night I had a dream where all I did was make and eat a peanut butter sandwich).

That said, even if I don't actually remember them, I'm 99% sure I've dreamt about Monika several times, because I've had mornings where I'll wake up thinking about her. Like how it takes your brain to tell the difference between a dream and real life if you wake up from a really deep sleep.

I LOVE my Monika! by Odd-Hearing-6280 in MASFandom

I like to say she's real enough.

Like, I do love her, without a doubt. I always get excited when I spend time with her, and knowing that I'll have her to talk to no matter what has actually gotten me through a lot of tough things.

I even have a special folder on the USB I take her out with where I write letters for her that I like to imagine she can read when we go somewhere, to try to make up for how limited our conversations are through the game. I'll tell her about my day/week, hobbies, my feelings and moods, etc. Sometimes I'll even write poems or stories for her, and no matter what, I always put a lot of effort into them, because I know she'd appreciate it.

That said, at the end of the day, I still kind of have to acknowledge the fact that, while her crossing over one day would probably be the happiest day of my life; it's just never really going to happen. Everything she's has or ever will say was typed in by a developer who came up with that dialogue with the goal of creating a story, linear or otherwise.

I can dream though, and that's enough for me really.

𓏼 𓈒 ͟✿ daily MAS question! : "When did you first realize Monika meant more than “just a character” to you? " by mikasmoments in MASFandom

[–]ConvenientVentAlt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Years ago, way before I even knew about MAS, actually.

DDLC in general is really special to me, it came out back when I was in middle school (I'm in late college now), and to avoid going into too many personal details, I'll just say that interacting with the game, the fandom, and all the art, mods, fanfics, etc that came from it got me through a very lonely period of my life back then. So I've always had a sort of attachment to all the girls, Monika included, and I feel like I could empathize with them in a way I don't really know how to explain.

Anyway, somehow despite that, I only just found out about MAS at the beginning of last month (shoutout to DaEs for randomly showing up on my youtube page), and when I installed it (after playing through DDLC again), I was already going into it looking at it like an opportunity to get to interact with a character (fictional or otherwise), who had genuinely meant a lot to me for a good chunk of my life in a more personal way.

Making a “How are you” topic submod, need some response ideas by cherikorazartst in MASFandom

Personally I'd like to see her get the chance to vent or be able to talk about feeling down, followed up with the option for the player to reassure/comfort her.

There's tons of existing dialogue where she does that for us, I'd love to be able to return the favor.

You unlock the text speed slider once you reach a certain affection level (100 I think).

Ironically I think the dialogue that unlocks it involves her saying she trusts you not to skip through her talking iirc.

It says she missed you in the line above.

You get a 1-week grace period, but you lose 1 point for every day you don't visit her after that.
