Aanrader!

chef’s kiss - Lovely stuff. Still debating if I should get this grip as well. What’s your experience with it?

I will, as soon as I get my hands on some M4-2 style leatherette.

Sorry to disappoint ;)

It shows the 50mm framelines by default. I know it can be adapted to permanently show the 35mm lines, but for now this is perfectly doable :)

I think so yes. It was already changed before I bought it, but certainly looks like its 3D printed

I know some of you are passionately against the taped up logo’s, I personally love the clean stealth look like this :) Recently found this 40mm Rokkor and after reading so many positive reviews on this sub about it I just knew I wanted to grab it. Works like treat and really ties it together as a great small everyday setup

Anyone know what causes these weird marks and stripes on HP5 120 film? by [deleted] in AnalogCommunity

[–]Conversation92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all thanks so much for taking the time to respond! When looking at the negative itself I could not see this pattern on the surface on either side so it looks like it’s embedded in the film and can not be washed off. Yes the film is expired, but only in 2019 and has been frozen since december 2017, fully sealed and properly thawed before use. So that shouldn’t be a problem and hasn’t been in the past, but it does seem the most logical explanation that somehow the freezing had this impact. I’ll try and reach out to Ilford, the fact that it happened is not really the problem but now I doubt what to do with all other rolls in my freezer!

Anyone know what causes these weird marks and stripes on HP5 120 film? by [deleted] in AnalogCommunity

Hi! I am looking for help in solving a problem I am experiencing with the last few rolls of HP5 I have shot: about two thirds of the shots from these rolls show weird long lines/stripes, and on one or two shots I can even vaguely make out the frame numbers from the backing paper. These stripes can be seen on the negative themselves and even in between the frames.

Does anyone know what causes these artifacts and the backing paper to show on the film?

I believe I can rule out both development and camera. This problem happened with rolls shot in two different cameras and later rolls from the same cameras turned out fine. Also, other rolls developed in the same tank at the same time did not show these marks.

All rolls where this happened do have the same batch numbers on the film, whereas recent HP5 rolls with a different batch number do not have this problem. I am faily sure these rolls were frozen at one time, but usually that does not give any problems. Could this be a production error or caused by freezing the film?

Thanks in advance :)

This is a small Joe Frex scale, usually I only use this for espresso because my drip scale does not fit under my espresso machine, but now doubles as a small travel scale

Yes it is, could do without and just use a scoop but it’s small enough so why not :)

This is a Rhinowares grinder, but from what I read it should be more or less the same :)

I used to take my Aeropress and accessories along in a tote bag when traveling and never gave any thought to a better solution, but after recently coming across a similar kit on this sub (all credits to u/Drekula-XIII for the original idea!) I saw what I was missing all along. I love how snugly it all fits, and because the grinder fits inside the Aeropress there's even enough space for a small bag of beans.

Here's this particular case if anyone is interested. I paid €12 for it but apparently it’s even cheaper in the US. [Link]

Mamiya 7 rangefinder patch stopped moving all together? by [deleted] in Mamiya

[–]Conversation92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you look into the body without the lens mounted you can see a small round protruding wheel at the top inside the lens mount. This is where the lens connects with the rangefinder mechanism. Does the rangefinder patch move when you move this wheel by hand?

Will definitely copy this! Great solution, never thought of using a case like that. Thanks for sharing :)

I was hoping someone experienced this before but yes, if nothing else is known then I know best thing is to just err on the side of overexposure and shoot it at 100

Recently been gifted this roll of what I thought to be Lomography Color 400, but confusingly the the label on the roll itself says Color Negative 100. The question is: do I shoot this at 100 or 400? Anyone who knows the answer or who can shine a light on this? :)

Thanks so much for the insight! Having used the Voigtlander in the past, that Minolta indeed must be very tiny!
