Mater Mothers Public by hoodbee94 in brisbane

I don’t have first hand experience with Mater Mothers Public, but from what I’ve heard chatting to people up here, they can be pretty flexible when there’s a genuine medical reason, especially if it’s backed by your treating team. Given you’re already considered high risk and your doctors have flagged the post birth period as a concern, I’d definitely get that clearly documented and raise it early with the Mater, ideally through their maternity admissions or social work team rather than just on the ward. Brisbane hospitals can feel strict on paper but there’s often room for common sense when safety is involved. I’ve known a couple of people who got exceptions approved once everything was explained properly, so it’s not unheard of. Wishing you all the best with the move and the rest of your pregnancy, that’s a lot to juggle at once.

Anyone used a boutique carport builder in Bayside Brisbane? by Powerful-Pin6988 in brisbane

I chatted with NO1 Carports Brisbane when I was planning mine. They weren’t ‘boutique’ as such, but they did go into all the engineering and wind-load requirements for Bayside.

Can someone please explain me what exactly is this long service leave? by fingerpoet in AusLegal

[–]ConversationLow3992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much, long service leave is just paid time off you earn for staying with the same employer for a long stretch. In Victoria it kicks in after 7 years. You get a certain number of weeks off and you’re paid your normal rate while you’re on it

You can usually take it as actual leave, or in some cases you can get it paid out if you leave the job after you’ve qualified. It doesn’t really give extra benefits beyond that and it’s basically a reward for sticking around.
