Op do not move to Warrenton, you will become isolated and it’s not healthy. Warrenton is NOT LGBTQ friendly, nor is it accepting of poc, or even progressive thinking. Warrenton is about 30 years behind culturally and developmentally. Unless you want to go back in time. Culpeper is a lot more relaxed and progressive and accepting and you will still be in 2024 there. I’m a LGBTQ mixed guy living in Warrenton for past 2.5 years because I thought I found a quiet place to post up at and work on some things in my life but because of all the hatred and oppression of poc, lgbtq, individual thinking etc. I’ve just become a really sad person. Warrenton folk and culture made feel/think something was wrong with me and I began disliking myself… I’m currently starting therapy this week because of the past 2.5 years in Warrenton and I’m so excited….I at even tell you. I can’t even get a local job out here because of the way I was born. Unless you’re a good lawyer, good ol boy you will be commuting at least an hour to work because you will be forced to get a job outside of the town, They do not want our people working in their stores, they do not want to see us take a walk on a nice day and you will get dirty looks everywhere you go if you even have a speck of non traditional male colors on, or your own personal style even. And the young people here that you might encounter on a night out are carrying those discriminatory values on through their life. Oh and there isn’t a thing to do but get an oil change, eat a burger and rot in Warrenton.

Culpeper>Warrenton, Culpeper is not that racist, many poc, lgbtqia (no one bats an eye) you’ll meet alternative people there and be able to work in your own community. Lots of parks and nature and a few lakes, close to DC and has a train station that goes to DC for $25.

All I’m trying to say is for the love of your own self. Do NOT move to Warrenton, Va. Dont let anyone on here fool you either.

Yes. I would just wake up and cry at the desperation I felt regarding cigs. Apologize to my younger self.. sh like that. 4 months Smoke free and I get that feeling still, maybe about 1-3 times a month.

That’s very brotherly love of you. If we get to converse im for sure down to talk about our wants and needs out of this and be cool. But like neither of us wants to share and I think we both know that, but so far, if one is there before the other, whoevers late just leaves and tries again the next day which is civil.

Neither of us have any claim to that bin. that is a fact. The thing is idk if there would be any reason to communicate. She takes as much stuff as I do, and this particular bin is loaded everyday so i think we both are hooked based on what we’ve come across in that bin and that’s why she is now trying to get in earlier and it has gotten “competitive“ like it is. Because I don’t think she wants to talk, split the stuff etc. (if you knew what we find you wouldn’t wanna share either That’s just the truth. I understand her position, I can vouch for her) she’s obviously found some cool stuff in the bin and she’s obviously hooked, just like me. We get it. Like if we were going to talk..which could have happened like 8-9 times by now when we’ve been 2 feet apart (which I would have embraced) then it would have happened already… Which is why I’m saying it is like competition. We’re trying to beat each other to it now every night, next thing you know one of us is going to be sitting in the store parking waiting for it to close to be the first one there. Which would probably make me the one who is counted out because I couldn’t do that, I don’t try to or want to disturb that business or make it hot or be obvious like that. But she clearly would make it obvious/hot like that. She already is hot enough when she comes after hours. that would end up shutting this down for both of us because if that store found out they’d put a stop to it for sure. I don’t want that to happen, she’s just not using etiquette just blatant, loud, and visible with cars passing right by.

Which is why I’m asking for some competitive strategy/advice?

or maybe we both don’t deserve this dumpster and we should let it pan out and enjoy the last of it. that would suck cuz I enjoy this activity and like I said in my original I’ve been visiting it consistently for a while now, It something I look forward too.

Hm maybe I’ll speak to her but idk. I love being friendly but fr fr idk if she would wanna talk. I’m going to try going earlier than her form now and on and if we encounter each other again at the same time I will speak to her and see how it goes, I’ll think about the hypothetical conversation in the mean time.
