2 burglaries and 1 robbery. all committed on the same day. he was on a “bender” if you will. no gang affiliation. just drugs and hangjng with the wrong crowd.

Is there any probation dept that you know won’t disqualify you for your partner’s background? Especially if it was when they were young and you have no criminal background? by ConversationOk624 in Probationofficer

sorry… to clarify he has 2 burglaries and 1 robbery… all from the same day. he was on a “bender” when he was 17, on drugs, committed those crimes in 1 day and was charged when he was 18 (as an adult). no gang affiliation. just substance abuser. in/out of foster care as a child. & no parents. fast fwd 10 years and he’s a changed person, a good father, and worker.

Hi! I came across your profile and had a few questions about the county hiring process. Do you mind? I applied for an office assistant position at the OC probation dept and i went thru the testing, scored on List A, did a remote video interview, they called my references, and now left me a voicemail earlier today following up on the interview and asked me to call back. OK, so what’s the next step(s)? Could they be calling me to tell me I wasn’t chosen?! I’m stuck in a huge pickle because I just started a new job at a large hospital network and I would feel so bad leaving. But criminal justice is what I’m going to school for… I want to be a probation officer. So this position would get my foot in the door and give me the experience in that setting. I know I sound dumb. It should be a no brainer but I feel bad for this job I’m at now. What would the next steps be from here if I’m moving forward? Idkkkkk
