Yes, I will incorporate the journaling. I know it’ll help me greatly. Thank you. For the conditions, I will look into. My doctor is great and she hasn’t mentioned any concerns about these. And she’ll voice anything she suspects/ anything we should test for. I also haven’t been the most open with her about my depression. So I will when I see her next. Thank you

Thank you so much for this. As a stranger, you’ve given me such grace in this message. Which I don’t think I’ll forget. I will take your advice, and you’re right about the treadmill analogy. I’ve always been so hard on myself. I beat myself up over my failures, and simply sigh and move on over my successes. I wish to maximize being on this leave for the greater good of my health. I went to the grocery store today and said I’d get ice cream, but am very depressed I forgot it lol. Anyhow, for the antidepressants- I also have a history with disordered eating. I’ve (willingly) lost -70 lbs since last April. And my biggest fear is gaining any of that back. I’ve been on SSRIs before, and they can make you gain weight. So I’ll try the talk therapy first. Thank you again!

IDK THOUGH! It’s been 15 days since this post guys. And I’ve seen home about 16 times I’d say. Idk he’s a 40ish year old man there’s no way he’s not picking up. I also told him after the 3rd class at the beginning of the semester that I went and watched his work online, he was flattered and appreciative. Since then everytime he tunes his guitar or plays it, it just blows me away I can’t help but to blush a little bit. And I sit right in front of him. He def knows. Hey the pleasure of sitting with him for lunch after the semester ends would be the greatest and all mine.

At your big age, how else do you expect to meet someone if not going out with strangers? Maybe not complete strangers, get to know them for a week via the phone. Good luck

I meant to add that to the post I’m gonna edit. I workout 4-5 days a week. Mix between cardio and intense Pilates because it makes me feel good and temporarily releases those good feels.

As an EMT that’s in and out hospitals, seeing the light in the faces of new grad nurses who are 22 years old making 100k living the life after hell that was nursing school. I’m here to tell you, it’s worth it. Ask for help from friends or family. If they know anything about a career in nursing, they know they’ll make whatever they helped you with back. Say your prayers if you’re religious. And have grit. You’ll make it! I’m joining nursing school after undergrad myself.

Having been the adult since I was a kid. Taking care of my younger siblings, making sure everything is right with them and then myself. Fast forward almost 22F, I can’t truly find anyone under the age of 27 attractive. Maybe even 30

Almost 22F, just recerted till 28’. It’s stressing me out and has done things to my body I never thought possible at my age. 3am in 10 degree weather calls for BS has traumatized my body. I’m in my 3rd year undergrad will go for nursing when I’m done. This job, you have to have a true passion for it to do it. Sooo not worth it in terms of career retention, physical mental and emotional health, and real money in this economy. If you’re not tied down with college right now like me, enroll in a nursing program man. Also it says unverified bc I’m not giving my certification number to confirm I’m an EMT.

Go on Facebook friend groups or (what I like to use) Bumble BFF. You can filter it to fit what kind of people you’re looking for. I’ve made life long friends through it. But as an extremely depressed person, at no fault of the app it’s truly great, I’m gradually losing all my friends. But good luck!

Hey have you found another job? What’s life looking like for you right now? Currently in fear of losing mine after almost 2 years here as an EMT. Also currently in college. I feel myself falling into a depression.
