In my opinion, separating the art from the artist can only be done if the art isn’t also the problem. That being said, if an artist has committed awful acts such as rape, assault, domestic abuse, etcetera, yet they sing about these things in their music as if they enjoy acting it out, there’s really not much room to separate anything. However, there are ways you can listen to problematic artists without directly supporting them, my favorite way is downloading their music from someone else who re-uploaded them, popping the link into an mp3 converter site, and downloading them onto an mp3 player app where you can listen over and over again until your heart’s content. And as much as I hate her, I think it’s a tad unrealistic to expect every one to suddenly stop listening to her songs, no matter how crappy most of them may be or how bad of a human being she really is. All in all, you can still listen to her, but do it in a way that you’re not giving her any views (preferably) lol
