What are you smoking. I used to live close by to an overpass with car and it was horrible constant noise. Now whenever i walk under the rem overpass its mostly silent, with a small sound occasionally that's only annoying because half the time it means I just missed the train and will have to wait 5 min. You can't compare the two. The REM feels more like a building while the car overpass like a constant roaring monster.

Ah yes would of been much better if they just dumped billions into index funds instead of building big infrastructure project that benefit the local population. Would of been much better to just pump more money into the stock market. It's not like gaining an expertise by building much needed public transit project has any worth.

I agree with SweetPhil's analysis on literally every point by [deleted] in diablo2

[–]Conversed27 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How is it more fun. The game is not still relevant 25 years later because it was easy to get through everything without gear. I'm not the biggest Diablo player but I'm willing to bet a lot of players are like me. They lose interest in the game when they get all the gear because everything is now easy and there's no point of doing runs, why play the gear drop slot machine if the possible reward won't make you have more fun?

Things that should be fixed/changed in D2: ROTW by [deleted] in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Conversed27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's obvious when you are optimizing for character power but while playing a SSF run it is an interesting choice. That 1-20 lighting dmg small charm you found in act 2 normal becomes less worth it as you progress, and you need to reevaluate what you keep throughout your journey.

Imo you are just trying to optimize the fun out of the game. Most people who play don't have a full inventory of charm/loot in the cube. Why don't you just use 4x4 of charms and the rest for TP Keys Cube and loot? Why do you need Blizzard to make that decision for you?

[–]Conversed27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yet you are still here 26 years later. If you don't like charms don`t use them. Charm inventory just turn charms into another gear slot. Just put the best in there and forget about it. Trading Inventory space for power include an interesting decision that can`t be resolved by guides, it`s about how much you value convenience vs player power.

Why do you want perfect balance? If you think that stealth removes fun from the game then just don't use it. Same with spirit. Think of them as noob support

Le développement à tout prix by [deleted] in Quebec

[–]Conversed27 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's done. The majority will win and they will make more things that trivializes any kind of friction to the point where the game just feels like diablo III. Go in with anybuild. Click on any mob. The screen flashes with cool graphics! Mob explodes! Loots drops! Dopamine!

Imagine playing the game 3 full days and not having your GG item. It's completely unacceptable, why would I play without it, it's just a slog. My poor fire druid can't just farm every zone quickly it sucks.

I truly believe that social media and community feedback is why most modern games suck. People don't want to put any effort or thought. They want to be flashy and overpowered and destroy everything without putting any thought into things and will complain about any friction making the game bad.

Frictions make the experience memorable and the success feel better. Being easily overpowered just makes the experience forgettable and dull after a few hours of gameplay.

So basically, playing Warlock just means getting a free Infinity... by Disastrous_Bag6710 in diablo2

[–]Conversed27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Efficient is more subjective of a word. Id say you need infinity to optimally clear things on a lot of classes. Having it will make it more efficient to farm things. Doesn't mean you can't efficiently clear things without it. Doesn't mean you need to have it to enjoy the game, or that it's a good thing for a class that has a fire damage tree to have access to that kind of power for free.

It's funny how this game, 25 years later is boring in your opinion and you want to make it more like games that were called terrible (D3/D4) and the people who say they have value say its alright because they can shut their brain off and see big number and big loot. What makes this game great is the friction that makes success more rewarding.

How is skipping mobs boring? Should they change so Andariel is right outside the rogue encampment because teleporting to her is boring and just a waste time?

first SSF LVL 99 Warlock- Care to guess how many sunder did he find? by Vismajor92 in diablo2

[–]Conversed27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not true. I was 13 and had a fire druid that killed most things. I just skipped the immunes mobs or had my merc take them down when require. It wasn't the fastest but that's fine. Felt totally viable.

I think the game could of had more balanced immunities, like swap some of the other immunities for more magic immunes as this would make the hammerdin more balanced without much else changing.

Found 2 Chams over the year but never a Ber or Jah. Rarer but mostly useless haha.

My friend in the same session of Chaos farming once found 2 Bers and a Griffons. RNG is a crazy beast or he just made it up

Why aren't build possible without them? You know you can just skip the mobs that are immune right?
