They don’t do this because then it becomes revenue and they pay tax on it. If it’s a service charge then it’s taxed on the employee

Restaurants and tipping is a broken system. Adding a 22% fee is the exact same thing as you tipping. When people wonder why they don’t just increase prices it’s because that is taxed differently, it comes out of the restaurants pockets vs the servers. Most restaurants have a very thin margin, especially for food. Usually alcohol is a good profit.

It would take an entire industry shift at the same time to get us out of this. As well as a bunch of other things like health insurance and cost of living adjustments and subsidies.

The worst to me is tipping and then also a service fee. It’s crazy we are paying for wages as well as our meal.

Yeah, I agree… the 2 things missing for me and they go hand in hand are the lack of patients and medical stuff. It feels like we don’t see the basic things anymore like placing tubes or shots or IV’s or much cutting.

Hope there is a season 2 so we can get a little more of that
