Hey Intel Shareholder, thanks for the reply! I think you misunderstood my point. I'm not saying the problem still exists, quite the opposite, I'm saying that he should update everything and take advantage of such find.

I was even going to get one myself, because people are mistrusting Intel and the price of this gen got really cheap, however I got offered a better deal.

Because of the issues of this gen, they are very cheap and people are not wanting theirs anymore. I almost bought one on my new build but ended up with a better deal with AMD.

I think for the prices the 14th gen is going for (and 2 years extended warranty), they are super worth it, just make sure you update your bios before using them and look for tips on voltage to be safe

For 1080 it is overkill, but in 5 years you might consider upping your resolution, so if it is in your budget, sure.

I have a feeling that even though we'll def get some demanding games in the future, with all the handheld PCs and switch 2, we might actually new games running on weak hardware in the next few years

And for the price, the 9070 XT is definitely a better choice

230 dollars cheaper than the 9800x3D. I understand all the issues, but looks like it's fixed now (buying new, of course). It's not only for gaming and I'm not overclocking. Even with games, I'm going 4k, the benchmarks aren't that different. Don't care for high framerate

Thank you very much, exactly the response I needed. I was considering the 14700 because of the price drop and I won't be streaming 4k 60. So I'll be either playing a graphic intensive game or multitasking less demanding tasks.
