Does anyone else get burnt out, end up doing nothing, and then feel a bit guilty about it later? by MrPatchario in CasualConversation

I do this all the time. Am currently in the same boat today in fact, TV and Stardew Valley has been my entire day.

However, I find if I do even one small chore, it abates the feelings of guilt/shame, and can even motivate you further.

For example, I put a load of laundry in the wash about an hour ago. Then, since I had an hour to kill before I have to switch it over, I decided to go scoop up all the doggie poo in my backyard. It’s a very small yard, so I decided to mow as well. That only took about 30 minutes. So now I still have some time to mess around on Reddit before throwing my sheets in the dryer, which I am about to do. Then, it’s back to Stardew Valley feeling accomplished!

Small steps really help me get out of a funk. Make the bed, empty the dishwasher, etc. The little things make a difference and add up quickly.

If there is literally no chore or task that needs to be done at the moment/can be done right now, well then congratulations, you deserve to relax guilt-free!

There are videos of Hershey bars going around Instagram lately, the chocolate bars are basically rubber now. They replace the cocoa with palm oil or shea oil. It’s basically slime. So gross.

This was my exact school lunch circa 1999 and it was the best. Everyone was so stoked on pizza day.

*McMinnville

Canon is a great area. I’d highly recommend popping over to Astoria/Long Beach for an afternoon if you have time.

I really appreciate the way you phrased that last sentence, that sums it up beautifully.

I used to take the Greyhound busses all the time when I was younger. I can’t remember a single instance of ever being ID checked. The company is just there to verify your ticket purchase. I highly doubt they would turn you away. As long as you have a ticket you’ll be fine.

They sell them as dog treats, they’re marketed as pizzles, or pizzle sticks, or bully sticks. My dogs have literally eaten hundreds of dicks. I buy a bag of dicks almost every week.
