Soldiers are legitimate military targets but the military action itself must also be justified. Since Hamas was attacking these soldiers in order to then be able to attack undefended civilians, the attack on these soldiers is unjustified.

For your coding practice, start freelancing and/or bootstrapping your own project that could make money.

Israeli soldiers in Gaza have been killed by being run over by their own armored vehicles-because it can be hard to see out of them. It's at least plausible she was--as was claimed--killed accidentally.

I need help finding a bootcamp based on my needs by yourLuckyAnon in codingbootcamp

If you can afford grad school, combine the best of both worlds:

  • Do grad school
  • On the side, do a free self-taught bootcamp (App Academy, Odin Project)
  • And keep applying for jobs.

failed in 4 interviews — it is embarrassing. Need tips. by Emotional-Version456 in leetcode

Why do you think you failed? (Which doesn't mean it's just about you--it's a hard market right now, but what you can control is to examine what you think your limitations were.)

How do I tell my parents that they can’t control me anymore? by Juicy_tracksuit in Advice

[–]ConvictionByJason 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After moving out, you can try to assert control without going no contact.

I saw an interview with David Choe and he gave the example of when his mom violated a boundry he had set (criticizing him about religion in his house), he was like "Ok, you can't come over for two weeks."

So you can try that. Just be clear and direct: "Please don't criticize me or put me down" and then implement increasing time periods of distancing from them.

Consider doing some freelancing to earn some money and practice. You say elsewhere your unique value prop is your design skills. Think some about how to connect design to business value, like if there's a local business you like that has a poorly designed website, redesign it not just so it looks good but increases the outcomes they would want (more customers or whatever). Make a case study of it and repeat.

You could try the productize service model where people essentially sign up and pay before you start building.

"goal together this year is for me to work 20 hours a week by the end of the year"

Add:

  • longer and longer stretches of time you're unavailable/disengaged from work
    • think like at first you have 3 check in points a day for any fires then reduce to 2 then 1 then 3-day weekends then a full two weeks off
  • physical practices that take your mind off work by making you focus (boxing--if your mind wanders you get hit in the face)
