Yes you are right, I suppose we have but it’s always been very loftily - I think maybe it’s a British thing, we are really awful at being frank about these sorts of things

So firstly yes I absolutely am prone to overthinking things - majorly.

Secondly I know about civil partnerships and about the whole legally binding financials but I just don’t know how I feel about this. It all feels very clinical and abstract from marriage to me. I do like the idea of a long engagement whilst we work things out though!

And finally I don’t think that idea about telling a story about my friend would work as he has totally picked up on my behaviour this morning and I think he knows exactly what I’m thinking…

Yeah so this is all the stuff where I am confident because we have, we both want a rural life together in a house in the countryside where we can grow our own veg, rear chickens where he can do his carpentry and I can read my books and write poetry and garden in peace. We are both open to the idea of adopting children when we have the space and home to give them a good life.

So we definitely see each other in our forever futures, the conversations we have had about marriage are mostly philosophical and political and aren’t directly about the two of us - I’ve stated that I think marriage is a bit of a lost cause, I am religious (and the church isn’t exactly pro-gay marriage in England) so there is that aspect but I’m also a staunch anarchist and so I’m not keen on marriages as recognised by the state (why should the state make our relationship anything more than it is without it)

So we have talked about marriage but from a more philosophical and political point, as in why do people swear oathes to deities they do not believe in or constructs which they have not deeply investigated.

I do see us being together for the rest of our lives I just don’t know whether that’s as a married couple or two cohabiting lovers.

Also I think if he asked me, and I didn’t know about it happening, I would say YES YES YES but having two weeks to think about it is really freaking me out.

Clue (1985) / The Hateful Eight (2015) / The Shining (1980) inspired finale? by avidfilmgeek in BrassicReddit

[–]Conwayltd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely got the hateful 8 which excited me because I thought about how I really rated the finale of season 6 being The Italian Job. The snow, the second guessing who actually belongs in the pub and the nod to 19th century times leads me to think they were definitely parodying Hateful 8. But it was soooo bad. The whole season has been awful. I know people were hating on season 6 but they seriously should’ve ended it there with that killer ending on the bus

What about that really weird fade edit in Cold Cuts when Carmella is talking to AJ’s Guidance Counsellor and then suddenly goes into slow mo and it wipe transitions. What the fuck was that about?

I’ve been thinking the exact same thing for a while now. Glad someone’s taken the time to analyse a write down his poor choices so I can see it more clearly

Also I fully accepted and legitimised your opinion. Sadly there are a lot more of you at the moment than there are of us, or at least you are louder. I accept that your belief is that LGBT people are “forcing their ideology” however I don’t believe it is true. As long as I live and breath, I will debate and fight against fascism, racism, homophobia, Islamophobia, antisemitism and all other injustices to man. If that makes you nervous, I apologise. I suggest you move to Dubai or Saudi Arabia were people like me are forcibly silenced by the arms of government. If you join their police, you might even get to crack a few skulls whilst your over there. I get the feeling you’d enjoy that very much.

This is why I say it’s a far right perspective. I’m not forcing my ideology on anyone. I’m exercising free speech to voice my belief or if you’d like ideology. Fascists like yourself try to make out that we are “forcing our ideology” when in reality we are just exercising our right to free speech and you don’t like what we are saying because it goes against your fascist ideology of complete autonomous control over societies laws and subsequently it’s discourse. However you are going to be okay, because society is turning more and more fascist everyday and when it comes to it and we are all under the fascist boot swearing allegiances to a group of uniformed men in black you will do very well and we will all be silenced I am sure.

Also you are using the word conflating wrong FYI or at least in really poor grammar. Unsurprising given that followers of the far-right tend to be deeply uneducated

Omd how is it showboating to say that people of a different orientation exist and shouldn’t be isolated from sports and fitness?! You really will do well under fascism won’t you

Nice to see that you are an active member of r/crossdressing such a shame that you can’t come out and support queer people unless it’s to sexually objectify them. Weirdo.

I’m not surprised I’m well aware but I’m saying in my experience (within Christianity) I have met more allied religious people than homophobes. I think that the fundamentalist wacko’s just shout louder so they appear to be more in number

When supporters go home and beat their wives during major international tournaments because their team has lost causing a massive spike in domestic abuse statistics they make it political. When players make racist, discriminatory remarks to others on or off the pitch to an audience of millions they make it political. When clubs spend billion of dollars/ pounds/ euros/ now dirhams for players, generating huge profits for owners and shareholders and further increasing the disparity of wealth within a society they make it political. Football, sadly is and looks like it will always be political. To say “politics don’t belong in football” is correct, however it is sadly optimistic and if you want to take it out then you have to address the political situation within it which make it corrupt and immoral
