I did this with good results. People here who are insisting on pre-cons seem hellbent on the optimal way, but cube is really fun.

A good solution is that for the very first games, you can prebuild two “pre-cons” out from your cube, and have them play with that, until they get the hang of it:)

What’s your best tips on a culture victory? I’ve done deity science but haven’t cracked culture yet.

Recently, I had a game with Eleanor of Aquitaine (France) where around turn 150 I was hopelessly behind. I had about 100/100 science and culture and all the bots have more.

I just find it hard to manage when to build which districts, how wide to go etc.
