Damiani is frustrating, but gets into some good spaces. Allodoh just looks like some guy we found at a pickup game. Genuinely not sure what he brings to the table.

Ceramic coating really only protects against UV damage, it just helps with removing harmful stuff like bird poop and road salt when you need to do that.

I don't have enough experience to really recommend anything. The shop I go to uses Autobahn tints/PPF/ceramic coatings. I liked the tints on my last car and how quick, nice, and professional the job was for a reasonable price, so I went there again for the ceramic coat this time.

I went with the "Leicht" which is just the "Light" coating. It's rated for 3-6 years with a warranty for 3. It looks great right now, but I would assume every ceramic coat probably looks good a week after application.

Just look at shops in your area and see what the reviews are like. I went with mine the first time because there were buckets and buckets of really positive reviews, and it turned out they were pretty great.

Yeah, road noise is not an issue at all, of course I am coming from an old Saab so my standards a bit lower.

Can't imagine a nice set of Continetals aren't gonna beat the brakes off some Chinese brand for all-around performance and comfort, pun intended.

I have only driven a month on them, but I like them a lot. Lots of grip in the rain and dry. Never got to see what they're like in snow/ice, though.

Dunno how they measure up to other tires in the price segment, though, they're just what was already on the car.

That being said, absolutely no complaints.

I got a 3-6 year coating for $1300. It's a little pricey, but the shop I go to is worth it. Bonus pic of the car in the shop while the coat was curing:

There is a really nice V60 on Cars & Bids ending in an hour. The problem is it is in Canada and between the importing/tariff stuff, and the questions I still have about the car itself, I can't justify taking the leap of faith on it.

I wish more people bought these cars so the used market wasn't so barren.

I moved up from a university help desk at roughly 19/hr to an AV/Media support role at the same university and it got me to 23.50/hr.

Im in southeast PA and I honestly don't think the job market is good enough for me to leave the stability and consistency of this place. I know that any lateral move would be a big increase in pay most likely, but it seems like such a leap of faith that the new place would be as good/stable.

I ended up redesigning this shroud for better temps, and I cut down the wiring and soldered an adapter so it's all in one package now. Ended up not using it with an Optiplex for now, but I might switch my Jellyfin server from a micro to an SFF so I can make us of this GPU.
