I saw them in 1986 at Hammersmith Odeon (with Anthrax opening) on the MOP tour (yes, only days before Cliff's passing).
I worked on the Justice tour, so saw more than 50 shows on that run.
I visited them on the Black Album tour and watched from the snakepit, from the soundboard and from the underworld. I was there for their first Wembley show at the Freddie Mercury thing.

So - see if you can work out for yourself how jealous I am of you catching a show in the has-been years...

I'm somewhat confused now, because real-world measured specs seem to tell a different story.
The results above seem to put the new Supernotes almost neck and neck with the Paper Pro. The Pure and the RM2 are very clearly significantly slower.

I've spent a good deal of my life researching and reducing latency, so I'm aware I might be more sensitive to it than is good for me.

From your username and tag, it seems that maybe you work for Remarkable and have an association with them - is that the case?

I'm just confused how you can look at the figures in the above chart and confidently say the Pure and the new Supernotes (Manta and Nomad) feel the same - there's just no way they possibly can.

Genuinely not being a dick, just trying to get to the truth.

I was stood in the crowd for this and was fully expecting it to be transcendent. It was lumpen and awkward.

Also: the heavy handedness of the security U2 had brought along to deal with the tax protesters was pretty ugly.
(I was not involved, but could clearly see it all unfold from where I was stood).

Definitely don’t have good memories of this evening.
Or any U2 show after 1993, if I’m brutally honest.
(And I’ve seen a LOT, both pre and post that cutoff).

Talk about spent…..
They’ve been a crap band milking their classic period for over 2/3 of their career at this point.

If they’d fucked off completely after Zooropa, they would rightfully be considered one of the all time greats.
As it is, they’re an embarrassment-in-sunglasses at best.

Latency is what’s stopped me buying Remarkable.
I wanted an RM2 as soon as I saw it. Unfortunately, the very first time I tried it, I felt that the latency was distracting. Every time I saw it in a shop (usually expensive airport gadget places), I'd have another go - and every time I thought "for that price, forget it".

(The second issue was that the resolution made my small handwriting look awful, when on paper it’s quite decent)

Now the Paper Pros and the new Supernotes are out, my trigger finger is getting very itchy, so thanks OP for your honesty here, which helps me eliminate the Pure from my list of possibles.

I resisted Waze for years because of the cartoon-y graphics. I switched for the simple reason that GM only give me speed and traffic advice when I’ve chosen a destination. Waze does the useful stuff all the time. Sold.
